I have to say that Nagbe showed up today. In spades. I dont know who that guy was in his shirt last game but I hope he is gone forever. And while we wait for @DGA57v2 to review the match, let me just say that Tarbell was a stud.
1,500 Crew fans on the east side. MLS-types and player families can be on the west side. These could easily be in addition to 1,500.
Maybe he was just tentative after the knee injury. You are spot on, MUCH better today. Artur was also excellent. Hell, Diaz was good again. At least for '65 min until he ran out of gas. On balance, we deserved to win, I thought. Not overwhelming, but had the better of it for most of the game. A lot of the talk is about attacking trios. Reynoso-Molino-Lod in Minny. Gil-Bou-Bouska in NE. The three in Seattle. Zardes-Zelarayan-Santos here. But the CM triads also are super important: Artur-Nagbe-Zelarayan is awful tough to beat. Especially with Nagbe/Artur start chipping in goals and assists.
Well, here I am. This one is easy. Tarbell, Afful, Mensah, Williams, Valenzuela, Artur, Nagbe, Santos, Diaz, Zelayaran and Zardes (10). Boateng gets half credit because he was there for cleanup duty. Matt Turner (10). I didn't see anyone not having a great game among the ones mentioned above. Yes, there were a couple of missed passes but Carles Gil is still trying to figure out which way Zelayaran is turning and if Artur had glue on him. NE had two open looks; the ball hitting the outside of the post and Bou with almost no angle that Tarbell saved. This game was a 1-0 that looked like a 5-0 match without Turner. On another note, I thought the ref did an excellent job today. The card to Santos was 50-50 and he missed one or two there but Unkel would have called two PK's against us just because he's Unkel.
What a day. I have a Bolognese sauce on the stove that has been simmering for several hours. About an hour ago I got off a Zoom call with a group of Crew fans that I have been on a near daily group text with since that awful Grant Wahl tweet. I've received texts from friends I haven't seen in person since 2018 or before. I love Darlington Nagbe. I love Gyasi. I love Artur. I love you. One more. #onelove
Got my tickets. I won't miss this one. If anyone has season tickets log in and buy now. Don't wait for tomorrow's code.

I'm hearing it is gone now. I don't know how I got tickets. I logged into my account manager and the selected crew v western champ, selected 4 seats and checked out. Now that I'm hearing others aren't able to do the same I'm worried I may not have tickets...
I saw an option where you could log in for a CHANCE to buy 2 seats for the final, ,but it was under the public lottery option. But if you got 4, maybe you sneaked in through a crack. I am sure it is pretty chaotic over there.
I did log into my account and picked out my seats but I timed out. Then I tried again and bought the same seats but remembered I needed to buy a parking pass. Went back and got disconnected. Tried a third, fourth and fifth time but couldn't get connected. Don't know if there was an error in the program and they caught it before I could try again. After the first two attempts all that would come up was about signing up for the lottery! My first two attempts I got tickets at midfield about 14 rows up! Great seats but I guess I am not great at buying things over the internet!
Let me also mention something from the post game ceremony. Dee Haslam was off to the left with Doc Edwards behind her. When it came time to lift the trophy, it appears that Mensah told her to come grab it, bit she insistently motions for Mensah to do it. So he does, she and Edwards raised their arms and cheered with everyone else and then she did an abrupt right face and walked off the stage. It was the players moment and she wanted them to have it. Fat too often, owners hang around mugging for the cameras and soaking up attention. Dee knew better. Nobody would have minded. She is beloved in that building. But it was the players moment and she wasn't about to try and grab it.. Classy lady.
There may also be something to the idea that because of COVID, she was trying to not spend any more time around them than was necessary. We have had issues, and now would be a rotten time for them to pop back up.
you probably got a pre order for long time season tickets? I could log in and register for 2 tix for the lottery but that’s the best I could find
Sweet Dee is awesome. It’s fantastic to have an owner that doesn’t have deceitful intentions towards everything you love. She’s been nothing less than a God send to this club. Thank you Dee Haslam. She went off stage but jumped up and down with enthusiasm as Mensah lifted the trophy. I saw Waylon Francis right in the middle of the pack. Any Covid concerns were a second thought in that group.
It's so beautiful. I like to think he was frowning at their dance celebration and not the goal itself. smuggysmugfrown.gif
