Diaz had a great first half, and Nagbe looks better than he did last week. Mensah scared me to death leaving his feet like that at the end. It could easily have been a foul.

 

You'll be surprised to find that my feeling is different despite the dominance. Jangly nerves.

 

Diaz has waned a bit. Pedro didn't have many touches in possession. Mensah is a beast, but sometimes I wonder what's going on in that brain of his.

Agree Nagbe is looking more like himself. Artur has been key in getting the ball back and turning them into chances and half-chances.

 

Josh Williams had a fantastic first half. Just shut down everything and had a little offense.

 

Same. If I could have a buck for every game in which we lost when it was against the overall run of play . . .

 

It's football, really. The number of Akron games under Porter AND Embick that were closer than necessary is large. Man City does this, too.

 

Crew did pretty much everything except score. Porter at half time said the Crew should involve the left more, but, the Crew played a much better first half than vs. Nashville. Are they trying to keep NE chasing and wear them out?

Better of play. Better of chances. More overall chances. Though they had the closest call (Buska off post). We had 3 close calls (Diaz early, Zelarayan at Turner, Pedro late) and a couple Zardes scrambles.

Taylor Twellman is going on about how the new stadium will have a beer garden. I mean, it's not like the current stadium has a stage or a tent. I remember many summer nights, hanging out at the tent with a beer, long after the game ended.
