He hasn't shown his full range of passing and in game intelligence for us yet. Give him a chance to settle in. Rice is somehow on ten plus caps, and first choice dm. So I think all things being equal he can have some truly bang average games and still get selected.

Would seriously consider having musiala in the next squad for the qualifiers. The kid is going to be a big star

I wouldn't be all that surprised if he makes it in if he can keep getting regular gametime for Bayern. It's another 3 game international break so there'll be another 30 man squad you'd think. Mind you, Curtis Jones is going to get plenty of gametime by the next international break too, plus James Maddison back, Barkley started off well at Villa..... Don't envy having to make the choice.

We got 99 problems but a lack of creativity ain’t one!

We were saying years ago that English players lack creativity. Now we have it in abundance. If only we could merge this team with the 06 side. Terry Ferdinand or Campbell at the back

Yeah, we have a weak keeper situation and average centre backs and the holding midfield role is an issue

but world class players in most offensive positions and about ten quality right backs

    very weird

I've watched us under the waistcoat, creativity is a problem because he makes it one

And it's not as if his goal scoring is suffering either. 8 league goals as well.

Atmosphere seems off at Arsenal. Went there last season and the fans don’t make any noise.

As a Millwall fan it seems a bit like Arsenal fans would rather be watching rugby or F1.

He played great again but not impressed with Harry falling down a couple of times trying to get Xhaka booked ..

This is going to sound mental. But Harry Kane has 8 goals and 10 asists. If he carries this form for the whole season he'll be in with a shout of the Ballon d'or.

Like to see him and musiala involved in the next squad

There's no position for him though, same with Musiala. It's getting to the point where 3-4-3 will become untenable purely because of the players you're going to have to leave out of squads. Barkley can pretty much play as well as he wants and he'll still never get into the squad as well.

The next squads will be there to shape the tournament squad. If you suggest anyone new being involved, you really have to say who they will be replacing.
My view is that at least 16 of the final places are pretty much decided already (injuries permitting), and most of the rest are close to being set.
You're probably looking at one CB, one FB, one CM and one FW place where there could be some competition, and there are several options for those.

    Pickford
    Pope
    Henderson

    James
    Trippier
    Stones
    Coady
    Maguire
    Dier
    Mings
    Chilwell
    Saka

    Rice
    Henderson
    Mount
    Winks
    Foden

    Sterling
    Sancho
    Rashford
    Grealish
    Kane
    DCL

I think it should probably look something like that, but I fully expect Southgate to try and force TAA and Walker into the squad somehow. I would not be surprised if James makes way, despite possibly being the best RB in the squad. He might just ignore Stones' form to avoid a headache too.

That's very similar to how I think Southgate will go.

    Keepers are pretty much set.
CBs, I think Walker and Maguire are guaranteed, Dier and then Gomez likely. One space left. Mings may be the favourite as he's more naturally suited to the left.
I think he'll take Trippier, James and TAA and just Chilwell, using Trippier as reserve LB.
Agree on the forwards, although if DCL drops off in form then an in form Abraham or Ings could sneak in.
For midfield he may take Phillips over Winks or Foden (although Foden can also play more advanced which gives him an advantage).
Don't really see much other room for tweaks or surprise picks.

U would force the best rightback in the world into the squad? James and trent are a given for me. The best two rightbacks in the world. Also walker is ideal as a centreback in a back 3. Trippier should miss out
