Our persistence pays off. Well done.

Problem is that we all know retaliation can be (and almost always is) punshed.

And the guidance has been pretty clear in the past few years: ANY intentional striking of the head or neck is violent conduct.

Edit: but let's move past that with a GOAL!!!

Ole needs to take Fred off at HT: with the way he plays and PSG no doubt trying to get to him, he probably won't finish if he stays on.
We'll miss his tenacity but can't afford to go down to 10 against this team. Donny (or Pogs if he's ready) can do a job next to McTominay.

Clean tackle from McTominay on Neymar, who subsequently rolls around in typical Ney fashion...:whistling:

HT: 1-1. United have done well to recover after going behind and PSG having the upper hand overall. Need to keep the positive momentum going in the 2nd half.

Great counterattacking move, with Cav putting the ball on a plate for Martial who completely misses the goal and puts the ball well over. Surely will not help his confidence.
Another great chance to take the lead (after Bruno's at the end of the first period).

Martial on the wing isnt inspiring me with confidence. Forget the miss. He hasnt done anything of note today besides one shot and one miss.

Bruno picked the wrong pass there when Cavani looked to be pretty open on his left. It was the easier pass as well...

Another counter for United with Cavani chipping Keylor but it hits the crossbar. Block from Marquinhos as he stands in the way of Martial's fierce driven shot.

The fact that we keep missing these opportunities is unsettling.

Very. That is 3-4 excellent opportunities that were completely fluffed. Cav's chip was lack of luck but the other were just sloppiness.

Rashford has looked pretty good today on the right.

Were PSG always this drama queen whiny or has this spread from Neymar influence?

Fred. Paredes got a yellow afterwards for another incident with Fred.

Huge chance for PSG but excellent save from Dave.

And sure enough, Marquinhos on the following corner makes it 1-2. Those misses were always likely to cost us...

Pretty infuriating tbh: we were well in control this half. PSG offered little until that sequence. Sure enough, it's all they needed to take the lead.

Never saw that one coming... Why couldn't Ole sub him off at halftime??? PSG were always going to target him.

Absolute capitulation. It’s already insane we’re behind. Fred getting sent off almost instantaneously though... just lol.

Fred dumb for lunging around continuously, Ole dumb for not accepting the inevitable when we have plenty of options to replace him off the bench

That's what happens when you dont finish your chances. We only have ourselves to blame.

    Just like Europa semi final.

I thought for sure that right foot was going to make him offside, but no luck.

Not taking those chances has hurt us - we were well on top.

Gonna be hard back from here with 10 men. Ole should have taken Fred off.

Ole should have taken him off earlier
