Why do I have a feeling of being called a fanboy? Here, try finding some fanboyish posts. Had enough of BS for one afternoon, see you guys at the game time!
It's funny because I try to find some empathy for the guy. Then I realize how much he's being paid to play fifa and eat what he wants. The guy is livin' the dream.
not defending Eden, he made plenty of mistakes and showed very low levels of commitment to the club when he joined. The patch of injuries is of course mostly not his fault (I want to think), and there is also no denying that if all the other players we have were playing in a very high level, and the team was on a roll of winning games left and right, people would complaint less about Eden since he was not that missed. This is not the case, we suck big time, and as the highest purchase in real madrid's history, fingers are pointing to him with blame. if I was him, I would actually take a longer break and identify what's wrong, and maybe even ask to leave. karma is changable.
Belgium NT doctor says that stress from high expectations is making Hazard injury prone.“Mental stress can translate to the muscles. Right now I think the muscle tension is a little higher, which makes Hazard now a player a little more prone to injury.”https://t.co/7wwk5Qf0Ic— Daily Madrid (@DailyMadridcom) December 1, 2020 I don't think he's doing Hazard any favors with comments like this. Everyone knows that there are high expectations at Real Madrid, it's no excuse really.
Funny when I said this months ago several people thought I was a hater and crazy to compare him to Götze melting under pressure at Bayern. It's basically the same thing.
Maybe the good doctor can prescribe some suitable ice creams and Belgian buns to relax the mental stress, perhaps recommend some Netflix series as well.
It just goes to show that you can be an unfit 29 year old like Hazard, or a fit 36 y.o player like Lebron or Ronaldo. When someone stays fit, they do their jobs a lot better. It also helps when they have a winning mentality and refuse to lose. You can't buy that. Even for 130 million euros . Look at Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric. They're up there in age yet play like some of the best in the world and take very good care of themselves. Are they injury free? No. But they know how to minimize the risks. Eden Hazard doesn't do that, and that's what most of us find unforgivable. At this point we're just not gonna count on this bum and move on like RM flushed 130 million euros down the toilet. C'est la vie.
I agree. And the work ethic and lifestyle of the player should also be a heavy consideration when signing our more expensive players. We need to get the most of those pricey signings especially because we are no longer top dogs, buying power wise.
He’s not wrong. It’s been proven that this is actually a phenomenon. At an athletes level even 5% change in probability of muscular injury is a huge thing. They practically live on the edge of the what their muscles and bodies can do. Every little thing matters unless you’re blessed with amazing genes. always give props when it’s earned. This guy 4x4s said this months ago. I think he’s right. Chocolate is known to reduce stress. Belgian chocolate more so I would assume. Lol. But fatness due to chocolates increases chances of injury. *insert meme of man sweating not knowing which red button to press”.
Somebody will chime in here and tell you that it was never really an issue but Hazard himself kind of admitted he took a year off and got Mou sacked because of it. You can say "well that's only one year!" but maybe that was the year he felt as uncomfortable as he is right now. I'm not a fan, but I think he can be a useful player on a better team.
Before you get the champagne out i'd like to point out that this doctor is just speculating, when was the last time he actually worked with Hazard?
Yeah, that was all of the information we needed to know that this was probably not going to work out. Mourinho is probably far more of a hardliner in terms of work ethic than most coaches, but that was a tell tale sign for what Burger Boy was going to be like for us.
Burger boy, much like Jovic was absolutely smashing it before they arrived here. Motivated hungry and lethal. What's happened? What's the common thread here? Management.
Are you seriously blaming management for a player that turned up overweight and has been more often than not injured ever since? Hazard cannot be in the group of players you have decided have underachieved because of management, i was never the biggest fan but that would be absurd, can't just randomly ascribe everything to management
