me too. no wonder Jurgen is losing his cool. none of our players had better go anywhere near any weddings at this point, he'd flay 'em to death.
Yeah well the reality of so many games coming almost every three days and being unable to be able to properly rotate in key positions must stress Klopp a lot. We're in a real bind until either we get some players back or find a solution in the Jan transfer window.
it's starting to feel like the teams with the best chance to win the Prem, or at least end in the top 4, will be the ones who are able to manage through the injuries that (almost) everyone has been hit with. we are doing worse than most at this point: us - 8 players out (we know who) Spurs - 2 Chelsea - ZERO City - 2 LC - 5 Arse - 9 (mostly short term or fringe players) Manure - 8 (most are short term)
wow. never saw that coming .... at this rate his LFC salary-per-minute played will set an all-time record.
Thiago was very unfortunate to be the victim of Richarlisons vicious challenge. It could have been any of our players and it's clearly done some serious damage to the knee.
Repeating the obvious, it is both odd and unnerving the way information about the injury is not being shared. Will we see this guy again this season? Will there be longer term effects? Is/was surgery being considered? What the hell is going on? Other serious injuries have been communicated and updated.
Not sure why its unnerving the way they are sharing information. Per Klopp today, there was no structural damage requiring surgery so its basically just wait for it to heal properly and its taking longer than initially anticipated. Considering the impact, he's lucky not to be out 9-12 months, so getting him back any time in the next month or so is a benefit.
I’m as gutted as anymore that Thiago hasn’t featured much but given his knee went backwards, we’re lucky we’ll see him at all this season. Gomez’s reaction tells you it all.https://t.co/cF3OqGxfpi— Jamie Holme (@JamieHolme) November 30, 2020
It looks worse every time I see it. Just think of it like this, he'll be like a new signing in the transfer window timeframe.
I read a piece yesterday where Pep was being very noncommittal about Aguero's knee injury which kept him out 5 months, and he still is unable to play. sounds just like Jurgen .... "With Sergio it depends on how he wakes up. He made good training sessions but then had some niggles in his knee," he said. "It is day-by-day and yesterday I decided not to select him because he needs training and this morning he woke up with a little problem in his knee and he could not train. We know that the injury that he had is not easy for the recovery and we have to handle it as well as possible and when he will be ready he will start to train with us and play."
Robbo and Hendo update after the game ... With Wolves to come on Sunday, Liverpool can ill-afford to be without the pair but Klopp is confident that both players will prove their fitness in time. ‘Robbo had a proper, proper knock on his ankle but he played through,’ Klopp told BT Sport. ‘Hendo had a stiff back but he played on. The boys gave everything ‘They played through it so I would say [they are OK] but I don’t know. In the moment, I am positive. That is a problem for the next few days, not tonight.’
Nice to read some good news this morning for a change. Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to return to Liverpool training this week, according to a report in the Athletic.
“It’s really just playing matches and resting at the moment,” he added. “There’s not really any training because there’s not a lot of time for that.” Wijnaldum makes astonishing Liverpool training claim in light of injury crisis (teamtalk.com)
Today's doomsday list .... Ox still "unknown" return ..... Liverpool’s injury list (and expected return date) Virgil Van Dijk – knee (+6 months) Joe Gomez – knee (+6 months) Thiago Alcantara – knee (3-4 weeks) Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – knee (unknown) Alisson – hamstring (10-14 days) Trent Alexander-Arnold – calf (one week) Naby Keita – hamstring (will undergo assessment) James Milner – hamstring (2-6 weeks) Xherdan Shaqiri – leg (will undergo assessment)
Ox posted to his Instagram account on Friday evening a picture of himself training in the gym at Liverpool's new AXA Training Centre, with the simple emoji bearing the message: "SOON".
Virgil has started rehab .... pics and all .... https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-van-dijk-rehab-update-23117872
And it turns out that Klopp is not to blame now, for all of our injuries, as what was previously suggested in the media.
