Perez need to sell Marcelo, Isco, Asensio etc... whether Zidane likes it or not, I still think he is the right coach for us but not while we have a squad with many deadweights, deadweights that he is close to. Give him a quality squad with few weaknesses and he wins you trophies. So next season OUT- Marcelo, Isco, Asensio, Mariano and maybe even Varane. Loan- Vinnie. IN- Halaand/Mbappe both would be a dream but most likely impossible, Camavinga, Ocampos, Kounde/Upemaceno. bring one of Kubo or Brahim back.
I would love to see a new coach tbh. I felt Solari's style of play was much more exciting for example. We play such dull football. We want to win but the most important thing is that we have to have fun watching football. And tbh in 2 years of Zizou I think I have seen some of the most underwelming football I have ever seen at Madrid. Then there is his strange lineups with the old guard over and over. Meh.
Zidane is terrible when it comes to tactics, that can’t be disputed. When these “Zidane In” guys are saying he needs Halaand, Mbappe, Camavinga, etc just to succeed that says all you need to know about the manager. The only manager I’ve ever seen who needs to have world class players all over the pitch to beat Shaktar and alaves. That’s why Poch is the right man for the job imo, he’s a good coach and he’s known for developing young players. And yeah he doesn’t need the best squad in the world to play good football loool

One thing I've noticed is that once enough time has passed, the narrative regarding certain players, managers or situations shifts drastically from what the reality was at the point in time. There seems to be a re-writing of history that genuinely makes me want to go back and check old match and player threads. I've seen this most recently with Solari and Benzema and I don't know if people have just forgotten the lows or are significantly downplaying them.
Why are we constantly getting outperformed by teams with much less quality than us? What’s our style of play? Do you watch how we play football? Please answer these questions for me.
You take 3 players out of this squad, and who are you going to play given the injuries that we already have? I hate the roles they have right now, but that's the reality of the situation. Add to that we didn't refresh the squad. The team is without blame and neither is the coach. But when you start with an asinine statement like that, it leaves little room for back and forth.

The last two pages is a testament to how stupid and ungrateful fans truly are. I mean the manager shares blame with the players and the President; however the nonsense posted here and the simpletons who rep it? Ha. I don't know what the great Pooch who couldn't win even a Carling Cup with Kane, Song, Eriksen, etc or any other manager out there would be able to consistently win when you have multiple stars and starters out and have no depth because your President wouldn't move deadwood out for years because he was trying to save money. When it comes to Zidane I think some decisions need to be taken away from him. Get rid of his favorites and he will be fine. Drop Marcelo, Asensio, Isco from the squad and problem solved. He can't field them if he doesn't have them. He is still the best for getting the team up for big games. He and Ramos

All Zidane does is use what he has. When everyone is healthy Isco never plays and Marcelo only is rotated to rest Mendy (sadly). It's the President who needs to let these guys go.
Except Asensio. He should try Rodrygo pr change the formation. Guy has no business starting for us. Flo needs to get rid of him so ZZ can't field him
Asensio shouldn't be on our roster. I have said this for some time now even when it was unpopular to think this way. Not only him; Varane, Marcelo, Isco, Mariano, Jovic, Odrizola (injury prone, unreliable) should not be anywhere near the squad. The problem is that that is our entire depth. So if Valverde, Ramos, Benzema and Casemiro were out.... where does that leave us? Especially when we can't even rely on pur most expensive transfer ever.
What people don’t understand is that the lineups are not the main problem. It’s the style of play or lack there of. We are constantly getting outplayed by EVERYONE, doesn’t matter the opponent we always look like the worse team. Our defense is all over the place and constantly getting cut open and offensively we look even worse.. cross cross cross cross. I’m sorry but the squad isn’t an excuse because it’s still better than 90% of the teams we play.
This squad isn’t good enough to win the league or UCL? Of course not. This squad isn’t good enough to play decent football and beat these shitty teams we’re playing? Of course they are. That’s how I see it.
