We would be selling at a huge loss. Best move i can imagine is finessing PSG somehow and packaging him in exchange for Mbappe.

Not to mention the idea of him actually agreeing to move which I dont expect him to even consider.

Rubbish stats though. It says he had three shots, two shots on target. I assume one was the penalty. What was the other shot on target? All I remember was the shot he sent wide when he really should have scored or at least forced a save.

It also says Rodrygo had one shot which was off target, but Rodrygo scored with his first touch.

I wouldn’t put too much value in clearly erroneous stats. Can anyone just show me something Hazard did during this game which was worth buying a ticket to see?

I will do the same for another player who was much better than Hazard this game. The best things I saw in this game were from Lucas Vasquez. His shot from out side of the box which hit the post was excellent (no doubt chalked up as a shot off target by whoscored) and his off the ball run and cross for Rodrygo’s goal was also top class.

edit: here’s all Hazard’s touches. There’s nothing here that I can’t do myself. Lots of backward passes. A decent penalty and a shot that doesn’t trouble the keeper at his near post. A bad missed shot. A bad missed pass that could have been an assist if it had been an accurate pass. And an easy key pass to Mendy which Mendy should have scored or created a goal from. No real successful take-ons.

I get that he’s coming back to fitness, but if this is a good game then I’m a world class footballer because I do this regularly. We need the best Hazard back, the one that takes on players and creates for others, and if this is the best we can expect then we have low expectations and I’d rather have Vinicius and Lucas out there.

This seemed the fairest assessment of his contribution to this game IMO, despite the stats

Oh man, I hope the injury is not serious ... Hazard is making Bale injury look good and that is no easy task!!!

Worst part about this is that since he keeps getting injuries, he will continue getting a pass from the press and Zidane because he needs "a string of games to get fit".

So he gets injured, misses a few games, the string of games starts again and he keeps getting a pass.

One hundred and thirty million euros + add ons.

What a colossal mistake we’ve made. When we did it with Kaka we signed Ozil soon after. Plz plz let us sign a proper world class player.

Gets older, more injuries, I think his time here is already done. Some miracle has to happen if we want to see Chelsea Hazard. Even Kaka wasn't that big of a bust, scored some great goals, remember the 0-1 against Atletico, good game in Barca, nutmeg goal vs Valencia.

Hazard is on his way to be the biggest bust in our history. The comparison with Bale shouldn't even be made, he is far far behind what Bale had achieved here. We should compare him with James, Kaka, Robben, even Arjen was more decisive for us and was often injured.

James and Kaka were busts because the coaches rejected them and they never played, not because they showed up fat and whenever they weren't injured or recovering they would put in bad performances game after game until repeating the cycle.

Hazard's no dummy, show up fit and the expectations are sky high, show up fat and nobody can reasonably expect you to perform.

He is a kaka level event.
James and Robben contributed a lot more than Eden.
    Bale is not even comparable.

We’re stuck with him. We can’t sell him. He will be 30 years old in a month, he’s approaching the final stages of his career. There is no demand for him, nobody will take him of our hands unless we give him away for free, like James. And he has a contract until 2024. He has to accept to leave, which isn’t happening. So, we’re stuck with him until 2023 at the earliest.

Is this the same ankle that's been bugging him?

I hope he is okay for his own good.

My point is I, we, need to know what he is capable of and seems like we are in an endless cycle of wait and see.

We need to know if he is part of the future

Same right ankle. While he may be somewhat unlucky, it's coming across more as him being extremely brittle.

Yep I believe it’s the same ankle but we don’t know for sure if this is when he got injured.

Given how much we paid for him he’ll be part of the future no matter what lol.

Hazard missed about 20 games in 7 years at Chelsea, no one could have foreseen this.

He started missing a few games here and there around 15/16, especially as he was playing with a hip injury for most of that season. Then the ankle surgery a season after that as well.
