It kinda feels weird for most of these clubs who are now in their offseason and making roster moves in the transfer window during this CCL tournament competition in a pandemic. I mean there will be clubs either showing up with players they’ve just lost or they just acquired newly signed players. Team chemistry will definitely be in question because I don’t think they have a lot much time to work and prepare against Liga MX clubs who are in mid-season form right now. But since it worked in Europe with the UEFA Champions & Europa Leagues, it might as well could work here in the North America, Central America, and Caribbean region.
I agree! It does have a weird vibe to it all with these rather tasty regional matchups that should be in March and April but are now finally being played out here in December. 2020 is gonna 2020 ya know.

Did anyone watch these two matches last night, are y'all looking forward to these two tasty encounters tonight? Montreal and Olimpia was an even contest, good viewing. Tigres vs NYC was a wash. NYC was toothless in the final third whereas Tigres was down right surgical soN!

This is really impressive folks. To steamroll three Liga MX clubs of such quality is the real deal! Also, it was on ESPN's bottom line crawl just a few minutes ago that Club America has fired their coach Miguel Herrera following the playoff loss to eternal rival Chivas and now this loss and shenanigans to LAFC last night.

people forget LAG and DCU won under this short tourney one game rounds format. we started losing when we extended the tournament out and/or xeroxed UCL. you give MX rest or two shots at each round and their better resources should win out. a lot of the dynamo CCL glory days were straight knockout years.
Over two legs. Home at the Rob and then off at some Panamanian field or away to Pachuca up in the mountains! We made it to the Semi-Finals of this tournament. Recall we lost in overtime as at that time CONCACAF did not use away goals as the first tie breaker. If CONCACAF did, we would have knocked out what many consider the best Liga MX side of all time in that Pachuca era of Chaco Jimenez, Calero in goal and a cast of other players that were Liga MX league and Copa Sud Americana champions all at the same time! Chivas defeated D.C. United in the other semi that year in 2007.
