This game is critical for Real Madrid's survival in the group state. We have been rescued twice with late goals in the past 2 games, and we cannot afford to drop points here. Our biggest boon here will be the return of Casemiro, who was our rescuer in game 2. He tested covid negative. He is the fulcrum of our midfield and it's hard to get things stable without his interceptions and ball recoveries. That being said, here is the squad Zidane is taking to the San Siro: Goalkeepers: Courtois, Lunin, Altube. Defenders: Carvajal, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, F. Mendy, Víctor Chust. Midfielders: Kroos, Modrić, Casemiro, Ødegaard, Isco. Forwards: Hazard, Asensio, Lucas V., Vini Jr., Mariano, Rodrygo, Hugo Duro. ¡Vamos equipo! Hala Madrid! Group standings after 3 matches played -
I want to punch Conte in the face. We cannot lose here. A draw keeps us in good position but a W could potentially vault us to the top spot in the group
We will qualify if we beat Shahtar and Borusia. No Ramos in CL,the old midfield 3,no Benzema, atrocios wingers.....everything points to a loss.
If we lose here though I'm sure there will be a reckoning. It will take a lot of luck to get through if we don't at least tie.
Missing Ramos has been tough to overcome in the CL. Nacho needs to play as well as he did against Villarreal. And having Casemiro back will help Kroos and Modric play more naturally.
It's good to see Casemiro back. Inter will be without Kolarov, Brozovic, Padelli and Sensi. We will need to take advantage of their left side (our right side) with Ashley Young and Arturo Vidal being a weakness.
Fearing that Inter are going to stick Lukaku on Nacho all game and he’s going to bully him. Nacho’s hard tough games against much less physically stronger opponents before.
Ramos or Benzema are the difference. Missing them is probably too big a hurdle to clear. Not only do we not know where our goals will come from we already know we will be much more vulnerable to concede.
Courtois (Lunin) Carvajal - Varane - Nacho (Víctor Chust) - F. Mendy, (Marcelo) Modric (Ødegaard) - Casemiro - Kroos (Isco) Rodrygo (Lucas V, Asensio) Hazard (Vini) Mariano (Hugo Duro) This is my ideal lineup in this type of game which make most sense based on experience and performance in CL type of games, which is different to La liga games. - Ode had a good performance last game, but a lot of pressure in these elemination games with 0 experience in CL so a good sub.
Biggest gut check without our most consistent attacker and our best overall player and leader in Ramos But nothing this team surprises me anymore. We could easily get smacked in a game full of mistakes or dominate and win a clean 2 0 with our guys bossing the game in every line.
Zidane calls up 21-yo mech. engineer Hugo Duro. He recently joined Real on loan from Getafe (with purchase option) and has scored 3 goals in 4 games. Tonight he might play for Real Madrid against Inter, tomorrow he has to return to Madrid for an exam.https://t.co/05QqSx5ilZ— Daily Madrid (@DailyMadridcom) November 25, 2020 Zizou has called up Hugo Duro from Castilla, who apparently is a pretty big talent. I don't know if he will make it in Madrid but it's interesting that he's also studying mechanical engineering.
Never thought there’d be a time where the thought of Lukaku would strike fear in me but here we are lol, we have to be on point defensively today so I really hope that Zidane isn’t going to use that 433 nonsense, we need to be a bit more pragmatic. Modric Casemiro Kroos ..........Odegaard ..Mariano......Rodrygo this line up will give us control over the midfield, everyone in it would work their socks off when we don’t have the ball and should we get chances we’d have to lethal finishers up front.
He just arrived in Madrid this past summer from Getafe and has been playing with Castilla. He has Mariano, Jovic, and Benzema ahead of him. So yes, of course he's not going to be called up until 2 out of those 3 are injured.
