11 players have tested positive for covid. They ********ed up big time. Enner, Palacios, Cifuentes, Franco, Pineida, Corozo, Sornoza, Plata, Mendez, Estrada, Dominguez. This ********ed over some teams.

Yeah I'm not worried about the games scheduled for March. I'm sure Liga would have wanted to have Corozo and Sornoza and their disposal though. Same with LAFC and Palacios and Cifuentes. They have knockout games on their schedule.

He'll be out 2-4 weeks. His team will miss him though. IDV has some important games coming up. I hope they don't try to rush him back.

Say what you want about his tactics or selection but the man puts in work. We're lucky the con artist Cruyff is no longer coaching the NT. Who knows how we would have fared.

Agree Euro coaches like him have no place in South America just look at Colombia with Queiroz we dodge a bullet there we could have easily been the worst team in qualifiers right now with Cruyff. Man spent no more than 120 hours in the 6 months he was with us. No scouting, no preparation and spent all his time in Spain and touring around Israel and China.

Alfaro and Celico are a blessing with the amount of work and scouting they are doing. They are doing everything they can to prepare themselves for success.

That's a bit of a stretch. IDV has a Spanish coach and they are doing just fine. To that end, Ramirez also never coached a senior side prior to IDV. I'm not entirely sure that we can completely generalize saying European coaches don't belong, but it takes the right kind of coach - not just the big name. The same truth can extend to why some South American coaches also possibly struggle in Europe.

In the case of our NT, Alfaro seems to be on the right track, but the big test is March 2021. That's almost a full six month gap...do we keep the momentum? That'll be a good sign and test for us.

    JAJA.

I think he was only in Spain when COVID hit. Nonetheless, public opinion and his aloof nature to work didn't seem to sit well with anyone.

Ramirez is different he wasnt a big name and if he coached a South American NT now he would have the experiance from IDV, knowledge of South American soccer there would be a transition Cruyff and Queiroz were random names with no experiance in south america no transition.

Cruyff spent like 3 days in Ecuador when he was announced left to spain appeared in Israel to sign auto graphs left to china to do the same reappeared in Ecuador months later only spent 2 days and left back for spain and that when we fired him.

Covid probably made this look alot worse but it clear that he didnt have any intentions of taking this project serious. He said he left because this project wasnt serious that a bunch bs he had a shitty attitude from the start and got to excited for the FC Barcelona rumors. He said he didnt want to be in Ecuador because of Covid but he in China now lmao.

Cruyff didn't work. His work ethic is poor. Did he ever attend a Liga Pro game? Did he ever attend a team's practice? Did he ever travel to meet with players abroad? I doubt it. The dude was in the country for a couple of days tops. He came for the money and in a move that wasn't surprising he left for the same reason. Cruyff is a con artist. He saw an opportunity to cash in and took advantage of it. Once public perception of him went downhill he knew the jig up. El no tenia los huevos para dar la cara. On his way out he passed the blame. Yes FEF was a mess for a while there. Did that stop Alfaro? Nope. He knew he had his work cut out for him but instead of shying away from a challenge he tackled it head on. Pundits were picking Ecuador to finish next to last. I have no respect for Cruyff. Like I said in a previous comment we may disagree with Alfaro's tactics or his player selection. We may call him out for in game decisions. We can't question his work ethic though. There's peace of mind knowing that he will work his ass off to put Ecuador in the best position to succeed.

The u20 and u17 south american youth championships have been canceled. Fifa and Conmebol just screwed over an entire generation. This move impacts not just the players but national teams and clubs around the world. You don't have to look too far to find an example - Ecuador. Would Porozo, Espinoza, Palacios, Cifuentes, Plata, Alvarado, and Campana be where they are had it not been for the 2019 sudamericano? Most of them would probably still be in Ecuador. Some of them wouldn't currently be members of the senior NT. They attribute the cancelation to the pandemic. Lies.

I see the Valencia factor taking play in there. The kid probably grew up watching him. IMO, just going there, even if playing in reserves will make him even better. If the kid puts in the work he’ll be unstoppable in 2 or 3 years.

He will def command their U23 team and hopefully in a few months or one season he starts braking into their first team.

The media is also playing the Valencia factor as well. So who knows how serious this offer is compared to Chelsea, RB Leipzig, Ajax, AC Milan and Boca rumors.

This rumors dies for a little and grows right back.

Yea they been saying this for a while now for the past week that man u never actually approached them yet some new outlets still say man u does have an offer and they are just having issues getting him his working permit.

They say he has working permit issues yet they also say other EPL teams are jumping in making offers Chelsea, Brighton, West Ham.

One thing Moises did say is that although Man U didn't approach them he did say he was speaking to a few big Euro teams. A few MLS teams made huge offers but he turned them down thank God he has his mind set on Europe.

I knew the media was hyping this up over him being the next Valencia Regen in Man U they did the same to Pervis linking him to Man U saying they called Tono and everything.
