their missing Doursoon & Rolfo as well. Goessling & Jansen barely played CB before they came to WOB & why is Wedermeyer all of a sudden out of favor?

Rolfö is playing now, Doorsoun alone wouldn’t help the defense out much where everyone’s doing mistakes

I just think that the coaches don’t trust Wedemeyer. It’s a reason why Lerch wanted Janssen after Fischer left the club

So nice of BM to allow Dallmann to come in at 89th minute, their really killing the careers of both her & Schuller

Strong Bayern performance. Good game with intensity. Not often you see Wolfsburg create so few chances in a game.

Naw.....probably was worried that she too would loose her startling spot at BM to an foreign merc, lol

as I’ve mentioned pre-game, BM had the stronger roster, WOB the stronger style. But what I don’t get is that WOB used to either play 4-4-2 or 4-1-4-1. Now they just went into stacking up the middle with double DM’s in lieu of playing their previous vaunted, over lapping, flank attacks. It’s like they just played into BM’s hands, which is a team that likes keeping it sort of cramped/close quarters, short passes type game.
Also why keep Oberdorf so grounded at DM instead of AM?(where she could of been an more viable attacking option)as well as Huth turned AM when she’s a way better winger?

in the meantime, even though they look like their heading to the league championship, don’t think BM’s style got a chance to win the CL(where they’ve previously been so underwhelming). Do their men’s team(the CL champs) play the same type of cramped style?(I haven’t watched men’s CL in nearly an decade)

The game between Bayern and Bayer Leverkusen was postponed because the Leverkusen team was sent in quarantine after a positive corona test of a player.

Impressive that, a week after Wolfsburg lost to Bayern München, OL lost to PSG: is this the end of the traditional powers that were dominating European club football in the last years?

No. The situation is different than it was for teams like Potsdam or Frankfurt who weren`t able to compete financially. If OL or Wolfsburg will have a bad season they will react by signing new top players. It is more surprising that PSG and Bayern haven`t won a lot of trophies in recent years.

PSG and Bayern are usually second place the last few years in their leagues.

Well loosing Pernille Harder was HUGE for Wolfsburg & I do believe BM had the better recruiting season, getting a lot of new offensive firepower with the likes of Buhl, Schuller & Asseyi.
I would of thought it would be even steven between these two Goliath’s, but WOB been even hurt more by current injuries to Pajor, Popp, Doursoon & Bremer.
But as far as the CL is concerned I don’t think BM’s cramped style of playing their players to close to each other, is going to work vs the stronger teams out there/at best, maybe semi finals again, but only if the wild card draws are favorable to them

Don’t look like any free steaming for the 4 upcoming matches today

But ten goals scored in the 2 other games played & get this; all scored by Germans! This is very encouraging as I’ve posted so many times before; Germans have a habit of setting up plays so their foreigners(on their clubs) can score. This unfortunate habit has left them with a single ‘world class striker’. So keep up the good work!

Never mind, two of the games all ready postponed I take it do to Covid, so we only get Hoffenheim vs Freiburg & Sand vs Meppen. But like my previous post, hopefully Hoffenheim don’t go to the habit of the rest of the team works so hard setting up plays do they literally spoon feed all the goals to the slow poke Austrian named Billa

It looks like my prediction before the season was not so bad: No team differ more than one 1 place from their actual placement.

Switch Wolfsburg/Bayern, Frankfurt/Potsdam, Sand/Bremen and Duisburg/Meppen and you have the current table.

Wolfsburg has just signed a player named Blomqvist, she one of the top scorers in the Swedish league. Guessing it’s cuz WOB’s missing firepower upfront with the injuries to Pajor, Popp & Bremer.
Just don’t understand why an club can pick up players any time they want; isn’t there supposed to be only during winter break of open transfer pre season?
