Not sure I understand your logic here, the fact that he isn't a particularly amazing athlete, isn't huge or fast, etc. is why I think he will be very successful. From what I can see he is very good technically and I trust the management of Dortmund to know what they are doing and they are acting like out of all the gems they have produced, this is the gem. So I say put him down for 32 Balon Dors. Anyway here are some highlights we can argue about, some of which include Gio, so totally on topic:
Oh not at all. Just some occasional highlight clips. I figure if I'm going to make a definitive statement on the career of a recently 15 year old kid then it's best to be uninformed.
I mean, I included technical as well. You're free to ignore athletic ability if you want but if you think it's not important, especially at striker when the best players are guys like Ronaldo and Halaand, you're just as daft as those other American fans spouting bullcarp.
I predict a dud after watching that extended highlight reel. BL1 (and other top league) quality players/defenders will be quite a few notches above the bumbling/stumbling folks in those highlights. He reminds me of Adu in a way, all the flash. Color me skeptical. Time will tell!
Being skeptical on youth prospects is like selling OTM puts and calls. You sure are right . . . most of the time. But you don't make much out of it.
IDK, kind of reminds me of Mbappe with his strength and pace. Other parts of his game remind me of a bullish strong player as well able to hold up and keep the ball. If he is 15 then you are crazy not to like the kid. But everything has to be polarizing these days so why not make a soccer player the same way.
I hope my take wasn’t polarizing. I wish him the world if he has the goods! Would love BVB to get the title for once with Gio there. The kids have a long road to get there, but if he is a miracle boy like many say, Moukoko will contribute a lot. playing against 19 year olds in lower leagues is just a world of difference than the top league teams.
not surprising but hope he gets some burn. Jesus, nice bench: Die Bank: Hitz - Sancho, Hazard, Schulz, Moukoko, Bellingham, Piszczek, Passlack, Reyna
Will be interesting to see the substitute patterns here, highly game flow dependent. If they’re up a couple goals they’ll definitely want to hand Moukoko a debut.
Reyna, Dest and Wes on the bench. Mid-day games just got a lot less relevant to me. Usually after an Intl Break I expect it but our boys didn't leave the continent. Lame.
Reus still has his moments but is just a shell of the world class player he was prior to his ACL. Solid bundesliga starting option, nothing more nothing less at this point.
