CHO picked the worse time to pickup a hamstring issue. The Krasnodar match would have been perfect for him except....
Frank: 'Both players are hopefully going to be missing for around two weeks. They had scans yesterday and they’re showing it will be about two weeks so I think that’s positive, particularly with Hakim.' ‘With Callum, we didn’t know what to expect because it was an injury he got in training a couple of days ago.’
Still always nervous about hamstrings, but it's good news. Hopefully, that's the case. Gonna see more Tino in that time too which is nice to see as well.
2 weeks of hammies is usually 3-4 weeks. Given the busy period, I know we want them back ASAP, but we got a long season in front of us, so I'd be extra careful...especially with those 2.
A big concern is pulisic gets more minutes than he otherwise would and given his injury record is risky. Happy to spot tino some minutes though, opportunities will be limited so may be a positive in some respects.
I don't see anyone in the loan army who really fits the bill for RW. Down for us to begin Operation BuyBackTariqLamptey and have him do the job.
Kai will see time wide and Kova will step into the mid. Kai isn’t a winger but can at least provide some cover for Timo and Pulisic there.
James to be rested for a "handful of matches, in hope to avoid knee surgery...bugger...hope hat does the trick https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...ce-James-need-surgery-knee-injury-resort.html
Should we buy back Lamptey? I get the feeling James will miss the majority of the remaining schedule and we can’t count on Azpi any longer.
But I mean is that ever possible with knee-related issues? I am not a medical professional, but AFAIK, knee issues don't tend to resolve on their own or with PT.
Reports that AC's knee injury is serious enough that we may not go ahead with Tomori's loan to Newcastle. Whilst I hope it's not serious it would be great to see Fikayo get some minutes in the side.
