    Well done Alaves.We have to win against Valencia and after the break Atletico Madrid and Barcelona play against each other so we can increase our lead.

    And we already have hed to head advantage over Barca,we are in such a good position,just dont lose points against this Valencia.

    Ample evidence of a second wave, and a worse one at that :(

    I am fearing same over here because of multiple reasons - huge movement of people because of major festivals, election has been conducted and winter is coming. Add to this general callousness of people , no one is maintaining any norms at all, it is as if people have decided that it has gone away . Let's hope for the best. A truly horrible year.

    "ample evidence of a second wave" is the understatement of the year, Europe is right on the middle of the second wave. France, Germany all announcing lockdowns for November, cases in Germany basically double those of early 2020.

    Merkel said that it saddens her that cases could reach 20000 per day in December if we don't act responsibly and was called a fear mongerer back then, meanwhile Germany hit 20k before November. The same people that predicted those numbers now see deaths hitting about 800 and everybody but the absolute lunatics is listening.

    France is hit much worse.

    We're operating under emergency protocol at work. I'm on site, and I've been getting up to 6 contacts with Covid-19 positive people on my Corona App that they launched here earlier this year when I've basically went through the entire summer without being notified by it at all.

    Messi scoring drought is really astonishing. He is still a great play maker, but he is just not scoring outside of pks

    Anyone who follows German league closely, what do you make of Ralph Hasenhüttl in his time there?

    He’s done a remarkable job at Southampton since Leicester thrashed them 9-0. It could have been easy to sack him immediately after that.

    Vinicius has more goals than Messi from open play. One day we'll stop pretending like these two guys are the benchmark in 2020.

    There are reports he’s emerged as a favourite to succeed Ole at Man U. (although I just think they are indeed rumours)

    A lot of the goals he scored used to be absolute gems of him pulling some freak stuff out of his nose. Ronaldo can and will score the cheesiest goals along with the occasional belter, Messi doesn't have those in the bag, so Ronaldo can sustain his numbers longer.

    He doesn't come out and say it, but Setien definitely alludes to Messi being a "difficult" factor (for a coach) behind the scenes:

    "There are players who aren't easy to manage. And Leo is one of them. You also have to consider he's the best players ever, and "Who am I to change him?". They have accepted him how he is for years, and they haven't changed him..."

    Del Bosque (who did the interview) asks him how he relates to what Tata Martino once said to Messi: "I know if you call the president, you can fire me anytime, but you don't have to show me that every day". To which Setien responded that he doesn't need somebody to tell him what Martino said or didn't. He has lived it. "I have had enough experiences to make an exact valuation as to what this guy (Messi) and others are really like."
