Considering how many titles we won in the League out of those "high scoring days", i'm fine with a pichichiless campaign.
Winning is most important, no matter what it takes I’m with it (besides cheating). Winning multiple leagues by depending so much on the defense winning 1-0 games is tough. We need to improve our offense regardless.
Who won the League with 1-0 results? 70 goals scored is a solid attacking output. Not having a 40 goal scorer doesn't make every match a 1-0. Mama mia. The team completely outscored every single team in the League other than Barca and we know the reason for that (they still have their alien in attack, ours moved on).
Hyperbole aside. You know our attack needs to be better, I think a large majority of people feel that way. How can it be argued that there isn’t quite a bit of room for improvement?
Why can't we have both? La Liga de los Records and the Doblete season were some of our best seasons regarding goalscoring. We won titles, we scored lots of goals, that is, we did it the Real Madrid way. I loved our strong defense this year, it was harder to breach than the Private Messages system of this forum but I'm sure even ZZ would have liked an extra goal here and there.
Because you don't have record breaking numbers without record breaking players and those record breaking players come once in a lifetime for most clubs. I would like to see us improve in consistency, not in numbers. Have it easier to score, not just blast poor sides 6-0 the way we did and then drop points like chumps the next week.
League = Consistency Champions League = Brute strength and quality Which is why i see us as a bigplayer in the CL if we make it past ManCity. This team can somehow always deliver when it's crucial make or break situation, but then takes the trip to an Alcorcon or Almeria and absolutely humiliates itself. It's pretty bizarre.
Not bizarre at all. Our team is motivated for big matches. Motivation means a lot for our guys. When we have a "finals" approach under Zidane we are lethal. On the other hand the small teams between all these big matches we are either unbothered, unmotivated or saving energy for what we feel actually counts. Anyways, I'm glad you left the pessimism aside and are starting to believe more in our chances. I believe we are going to wear City out; even if they manage an escape. We're literally 2-1 away from extra time which if we score they must score two. We need Benzema to show up. If he does we win. Heck if he shows up throughout this CL run we win it all.
He was a disaster tonight against Man City. Casemiro is Real Madrid's worst player outside Varane & Hazard.
He couldn't connect passes to save his life against Man City. Just abysmal. He was in vacation mode and it showed.
He was horrible, but people forget that this team came back after months of doing pushups and sofadribble runs to play a match every 42 hours and go on an absurd winning streak. If Casemiro was spent and done for the season, so be it. What they did was a miracle in determination and physical effort. As somebody who returned to amateur sports, i could barely move for a week, and these guys were demanded to go out and win a title playing with two nights of sleep in between matches. Thanks fr a great title run regardless.
Casemiro: "Few people know my name is actually CASIMIRO because my mother's last name is with i. In Brazil there was a game in Sao Paulo where people started calling me Casemiro. That day I played a great game & decided to continue calling me like that, with an e until today. "— M•A•J (@Ultra_Suristic) October 12, 2020 Casemiro: "Hazard knows he is struggling, but in training you can tell that he is a great player. When he starts to have a rhythm and chains 3-4 consecutive games he will be the same as always. Last year he was injured in his best moment, only needs regularity. "— M•A•J (@Ultra_Suristic) October 12, 2020 Casemiro: "Bale got along very well with everyone. When he plays, if he's focused, he's one of the best in the world, top 5 without a doubt. It's a pleasure for me to have shared a dressing room with someone like him. I hope everything goes great for him. at this stage at Spurs."— M•A•J (@Ultra_Suristic) October 12, 2020 Casemiro: "Youngsters must have references to follow because in 4-5 years they (Rodrygo, Vinicius, Valverde) will be the leaders of Madrid. We, the veterans, try to put pave the path for the kids to follow. The policy of signing young players from the club is a huge success."— M•A•J (@Ultra_Suristic) October 12, 2020 Casemiro: "Real Madrid are obliged to push themselves to the maximum. The #UCL group (Mönchengladbach, Inter and Shakhtar) is difficult. We will have to come out strong. Very strong."— M•A•J (@Ultra_Suristic) October 12, 2020
Oh snap. I remember this. I thought I had two different players confused because he was just making a name for himself.
Odegaard Fede Kroos until Case gets it together, give him a rest and bring him on a sub when necessary for a couple of games.
I hear you but we can’t afford to have Case in this state play in important games, and Fede is better than anyone else we have at DM besides Case.
He looks like the old Casemiro who wasted possession or couldn't trap a ball. I don't want to shift Fede from his position right now but something has to give. Kroos - Fede pivot with Odegaard ahead could work. It's unbelievable the club ignored this hole in our squad once again.
Everone needs to show up. Are you preparing to scapegoat Benzema if Real Madrid gets eliminated? Last season, Man City won after Varane gifted away 2 goals.
