    I'm no fan of Emery but I hope people give him credit for slowly allowing Kubo to transition, giving him an opportunity and now rewarding him for his good play.

    This is how you win starting time and trust from a manager.

    Not just empty demands of playing time with little to no results when you play.. yet defiant because you cost €60M and terrorized Bundesliga and Europa for one season.

    Same. I’m no fan of emery but there’s a way of doing things when you’re a young player. Even in college teams and semi professional teams, the easiest way of making enemies is if you’re a young player, no matter how talented, is if you (or someone else speaking for you) goes up to the coach and demands to be a starter the day you arrive.

    He’s shown he can play well and he’s being rewarded. Now he needs to keep it up. So many folks calling the loan a disaster was Uber hyperbole even for RMBS

    Why do several people show more engagement and excitement for Everton than Real Madrid though?

    Emery has finally woken up and smelled the coffee, the kid is more talented than his competition, no ifs and or buts about it. Glad to see him start!

    It's best to simply give everybody zero credit. Zidane finally woke up and fielded the right team! Emery didn't wait until the player was ready, he just stumbled on something by luck!

    Villarreal Cadiz finished 0-0.

    Kubo played 60 minutes and was subbed off for Chukwueze. Ultimately, none of Emery’s men did enough on the day.

    Cadiz with two massive results back to back against Real Madrid and Villarreal. Look like a team that will stay up

    Kubo had an absolutely uneventful evening. Didn't see you saying you was wrong for absolutely hyping the shit out of him starting.

    Kubo is a kid, and he needs time and patience.

    I didn’t watch the game hence my no commenting on this so called uneventful evening (something I’m sure you’re totally not exaggerating in order to push your agenda ).

    Yes he is a kid, one that’s more talented than his current competition, doesn’t mean he’ll put out a 5 star performance every game, especially not after playing 90 minutes midweek and yes he needs time, playing time, lots of it so he can be ready to return to us next season.

    In case it isn’t clear yet I don’t care about Villareal, the only interest I’m looking out for here is Kubo’s and Madrid’s.

    If there's ever going to be a season where Juve's reign of terror is broken in Italy - even if for only one season - it has to be this one. Inter, Napoli, even Milan...this Juve team is mediocre by their standards. If it won't happen now, it never will.

    ..... or he slowly transitioned Kubo into a new side which didn't get a full preseason for total acclimation.

    He gave Kubo a shot, Kubo took it and now he is rewarding Kubo.

    That's what actually happened.
