You forgot one....... --Request my Physician to prescribe a special mediation protocol as a result of being in such close proximity to this extreme level of Complete and Total Awesomeness.
Catarina Macario interview: https://www.espn.com/soccer/united-...-for-new-chapter-with-us-womens-national-team She'll be the 1st naturalized player for the USWNT, which surprised me.
What about Syd? - - but I'm not a citizenship expert and I've sent my Legal Team home for the evening.
She was a citizen from birth through her father, even though it took some effort to prove it. Generally, naturalization refers to someone who has to go through a specific optional process that requires living in the country for a period of time. Teresa Noyola would be an example of a player who is a naturalized citizen of the US and who played in the US youth setup.
Interesting article on the Equalizer about how Markgraf and the coaching staff are planning camps and games in a pandemic. (For the training camp, it included details like hiring a team barista to be available in the USWNT bubble like NWSL did with the coffee truck). The reason I'm sharing the article here though instead of the camp thread is because it elaborates a bit on the planned "November activity." They are tentatively planning a November game, hopefully against the Netherlands (in the Netherlands) in the November 23-December 1 window (probably towards the beginning of that window as the Netherlands are already scheduled to play Kosovo on Dec. 1). Things can definitely change though. Markgraf also talks a bit in the article about how they're planning ahead for next year (It's all very fluid, but Markgraf is still confident that SheBelieves will happen.)
lil, we go way back. I know you’re aware of this but I just want to remind you of your Big Soccer Fiduciary Responsibility to inform us of any upcoming Matches as soon as humanly possible since you’ll know about said Matches before US Soccer. I’d like to throw it out to US Soccer that I make a mean cup of Coffee. And it won’t be served in a shot glass……..not even in Europe.
The Dutch are not making it easy: https://www.government.nl/topics/co.../travel-and-holidays/visiting-the-netherlands I was just kidding before about becoming the Team Barista now it may be a necessity. I mean, Team Barista is definitely a member of an elite athlete's support staff...............Right??????
After analyzing the current COVID travel restrictions I will not currently qualify for any of the narrow entrance exemptions as established by the Kingdom of the Netherlands. In order to gain physical access to their Country for the Match, my only viable option is to quickly marry a nice Dutch Woman. Can you get married over on that Tweeting Thing??? More to follow.
HELP. If anyone is familiar with deplaning at the Amsterdam Airport……..is the Chapel before or after the Immigration Checkpoint?
The one I am aware of is "airside", i.e. inside the secure area. I've never gone through immigration to "groundside" there, though.
There’s no warm up matches before taking on the 4th most powerful team on the planet? btw.....those Dutch players now been at it full time since summer, especially in England’s WSL where. They’ll play league & cup games twice a week along for their NT. since my dad was Dutch; the women tend to be very bossy, they’ll have you wrapped around their lil finger in no time! But then some dudes like that sort of thing...
I will be able to endure anything for 3 days if it allows me to see the Match. This is it folks, I’ve got nothing else. H, right now my Plan B is arrive at the Amsterdam Airport…..open my Passport and emphatically declare………….. Which I know is total B.S. but I’m tapped out here.
Well, if North America 2026 is forced to withdraw, I’m sure FIFA will suspend their rules to allow for the many European Countries that would be interested in bidding. But it is after all, only the “Meh” World Cup sooooooooo who cares. Now, if President-elect Biden is offering to make up the ($38 -$4) $34 million difference in FIFA World Cup Winners Payout so the USWNT can achieve a significant $’s portion of their argument it would be my favorite $34 million the Federal Government has spent in decades.
official announcement? https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...am-to-face-the-netherlands-on-nov-27-in-breda - netherlands grants exemption from quarantine - constant testing - no full team training until results of all tests are in - ostensibly 6 days of training, then the match.
Alyssa Naeher is shortlisted for the The Best FIFA Women's Goalkeeper: https://www.fifa.com/the-best-fifa-...the-best-fifa-football-awardstm-2020-revealed The other USWNT players didn't play enough soccer this year to make the shortlist. Just kidding...but really, my first thought was: "we're doing these awards this year?" (I guess, European-based players did get more time on the field though.)
