She was a citizen from birth through her father, even though it took some effort to prove it. Generally, naturalization refers to someone who has to go through a specific optional process that requires living in the country for a period of time.

Teresa Noyola would be an example of a player who is a naturalized citizen of the US and who played in the US youth setup.

Interesting article on the Equalizer about how Markgraf and the coaching staff are planning camps and games in a pandemic. (For the training camp, it included details like hiring a team barista to be available in the USWNT bubble like NWSL did with the coffee truck).

The reason I'm sharing the article here though instead of the camp thread is because it elaborates a bit on the planned "November activity." They are tentatively planning a November game, hopefully against the Netherlands (in the Netherlands) in the November 23-December 1 window (probably towards the beginning of that window as the Netherlands are already scheduled to play Kosovo on Dec. 1). Things can definitely change though.

Markgraf also talks a bit in the article about how they're planning ahead for next year (It's all very fluid, but Markgraf is still confident that SheBelieves will happen.)

After analyzing the current COVID travel restrictions I will not currently qualify for any of the narrow entrance exemptions as established by the Kingdom of the Netherlands. In order to gain physical access to their Country for the Match, my only viable option is to quickly marry a nice Dutch Woman.

HELP. If anyone is familiar with deplaning at the Amsterdam Airport……..is the Chapel before or after the Immigration Checkpoint?

 

The one I am aware of is "airside", i.e. inside the secure area.

I've never gone through immigration to "groundside" there, though.

Well, if North America 2026 is forced to withdraw, I’m sure FIFA will suspend their rules to allow for the many European Countries that would be interested in bidding. But it is after all, only the “Meh” World Cup sooooooooo who cares.

Now, if President-elect Biden is offering to make up the ($38 -$4) $34 million difference in FIFA World Cup Winners Payout so the USWNT can achieve a significant $’s portion of their argument it would be my favorite $34 million the Federal Government has spent in decades.
