It was a shot going on goal. Therefore it’s a goal.

He got so lucky this time... but he should really really try to shoot with his left foot more often

Neto should've been taken out sooner, dude was trash. Basically all Wolves' attacks went to die when he had the ball.

Nuño is the first manager to give Raul a shot at a starting spot in Europe, got Wolves promoted and into Europa league first season back in the top flight and currently has Wolves ahead of Leeds. Put some respect on Nuño's name.

Fun fact: Jaime Nunó (with an accent on the last syllable) wrote the Mexican national anthem.

Fun fact #2: Nunó was was from Barcelona and died in NY. But his remains eventually made it back to Mexico where he is now buried.

Now you know! (in case you didn't)

Raul is in his prime and will be the next few years. Bigger strikers tend to have their primes later in the career than other players. Maybe if wolves makes a couple more good buys they can challenge for a champions league spot and Raul can stay there and become a club legend. Maybe they will buy Tecatito and another Mexican player and they become the official premier league team of all Mexicans.

The problem is they're up against clubs with a lot more resources. Even if they get every transfer purchase right, the odds are still stacked against them... they should absolutely compete for sure but Europa League is more realistic... I hope they exceed tho.

I don't know if you've seen the proposals from Liverpool and Manchester United (that were kicked out by the Premier League) for the restructuring of the league, but I think it's fair to say that they feel threatened by the likes of Wolves and Leicester (and anyone else with a bit of ambition) who are trying to crash the top six.

I won't go into detail here, but proposals included more voting power for the "big six", and tv rights for the "big six" for several games per season. The tv rights one looks innocuous, but really devalues the existing deal, and would drastically reduce the cut of the money for the rest of the teams, widening the financial gap further.

Now that this has been voted down, they're (once again) pushing for a European Super League. These clubs are trying to destroy the English league system in the pursuit of greater financial gain.

Anyway, rant over. Fosun have a long term strategy. Hopefully not focused purely on the long term, as we'd love some silverware in our trophy cabinet, and want to see Raul and the others play against the biggest teams in Europe.

The bigger clubs want to consolidate power. Big clubs don't want consequences for mismanagement like Leeds and Newcastle have had. I wish we had more Leicester stories where we see clubs make themselves into contenders. If there isn't that ability for clubs to have hope, I think the sport would lose a lot of fans.
On one level I want Jimenez at a bigger club on another if he can elevate Wolves into a title contender it would make him a legend. I would love to see Jimenez win something at Wolves, even a League cup would be great. A dream would be for him to go on an epic scoring spree and help Wolves win the league, that's asking too much for anyone, an FA cup or League Cup would be awesome.
