Anyway let's not forget that Hazard did play through it against City (and was a ghost) and now wants to come back when he's 100%. I don't see how not wanting to rush it during his worst injury of his career makes him a coward that can't stand the pressure.

The only fact is that Hazard has had 2 bad ankle fractures causing him to miss over 6 months of football. He now suffered a muscle injury coming back. Those are the only facts.

He went from conscutive ankle injuries on the same ankle to a single muscle injury on the same leg. This isn't just random. The cast on his ankle caused him to not be able use the leg for 3 weeks for each ankle injury. When you don't use a muscle you lose strenght and muscle mass. The muscle weakens making it more susceptible to injury when you start training again.

The ACL comparison isn't an accurate one as Hazard fractured his ankle twice in a row. This makes a clear difference. It's the equivalent of a player tearing his ACL coming back and tearing it again the second game he's back.

Hazard wasn't 100% recovered when he fractured it again so it makes sense that the recovery time would be longer then normal.

Amazing, just like that's he's better. Its a good thing we had our most difficult game of the year already or he might have been found out.

 

Crazy that Hazard is still to play a Clasico for RM. And ZZ still managed to win 2 games and drew one. Really hope no more setbacks and he plays rest of the season without any injury troubles.
