Oh my bad, heard it was Australia the other day. Anyway, can’t wait for Southgate to play 7 defensive minded players against them!
I’d love to have a manager like the Ajax one. 3-1-6 formation at the end to go for the goal.. imagine that! In contrast our manager brought on Henderson as a like for like swap and brought on a ST to play on the wing and still instructed us to play cautiously. if he hadn’t f**ked up with these stupid defensive formations we would have already won the nations league group
I don't think Southgate should be sacked, but I've been very disappointed with using the 3-4-3 formation, which has handicapped our players. I hope, amid all of this BS that he's secretly reverting to a 4-3-3 and will get Foden back in the team plus start Grealish. Everybody knows how ridiculous he's looking by not picking him.
Things have gone sour for Mason Greenwood very quickly. One of the reasons we should be very careful about promoting people too quickly before they're judged to be mature enough to deal with the level of fame that comes with being an England player. There's a definite balance to be struck between getting our best talent in but also being aware of the need to keep peoples feet on the ground. Something clubs need to deal with too given the vast riches available for players who've achieved nothing.
I agree but the problem is these legit young players have only been told yes since the age of 8 buy there parents who see them as a meal ticket and coaches who like to take credit for there development so it is not surprising they develop a god complex by there teenage years. And that is why United have to try and nip it in the bud, because being late for training might not seem that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, but these things tend to lead to bigger things down the line when the money and fame increases.
OGS on Greenwood: "I am not concerned at all with Mason making a target of himself. Yes, he has made a mistake with England + suddenly the whole English press go after him. I have to disappoint you, he is never late for training."— Simon Stone (@sistoney67) October 23, 2020
Be interesting to see Barkley grealish Watkins trio. The way Watkins has started there's a possible chance
I’m thinking that Leeds will target Grealish tonight ... they can be a tad physical on a normal day... Jack May have to double up on his shin pads.
ah stop, this would have been iconic if Grealish had scored it, what a run https://t.co/mW521EF2TA— Tommy Rooney (@TomasORuanaidh) October 23, 2020 Southgate told us he was slow
Been impressed with Ayling at centre half to be honest, never seen him played there before but looks very assured.
On tonight’s showing, I would say he’s more composed than anything we currently have in that position, along with Coady. Will be interesting to see how he plays in the next game if he continues to play there and on tonight’s form I would be surprised if he’s moved back to right back.
Luke Ayling was really good last season, performances in PL so far have been excellent. Bamford had my doubts about him, missed loads of chances last season but more clinical this season, but his link up play has always been very good.
