Frankowski and Mihailovic coming on for Herbers and Aliseda. Good substitutions at the 60th minute. This should open the game up a bit for the Fire. Better than replacing Beric with Collier!
Listening to the English commentary. Sounds like they literally grabbed 2 guys off the street at the last minute and asked them to watch the game and talk about it for a free hotdog.
Corner for KC. Wide open for the eaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasy header. Awful defense by the Fire. Nobody at the back post.
I just finished Day 90 of my 100 Days of Drawing Anime Girls. That's about the only interesting thing that has happened this game.
You spoke too soon, our young friend. Something interesting happens to end the game.. Mihailovic get the ball in the box after a 60 year "hail mary" kick and scores, as the KC goal keeper dives to grab it. Last kick of the game. Draw 2-2.
The soon to be legendary Brian Gutierrez. He has appeared in 6 games so far, for a total of about 30 minutes.
Unbelievable ending thank God for Mihailovic. I few observations the fire and Kc put on a clinic how NOT to pass to a team mate. How many bad passes did the fire make today 50,100,150 or 200 or more. Sapong cannot control the ball when passed to him in midfield. He loses it every time. Well the Fire did what both Barcelona and real madred couldn't do. Not lose today. Can't MLS afford a goal line cameras? They had different angles of Beric goal except one straight down the goal line.
Well, I guess I'd rather tie by scoring in the final seconds than by giving up a goal in the final seconds. Great desperation long ball by Pineda to set it up.
True, for all of the CJ Sapong love last season for him being out on the wing, he did only manage 2 assists (his second joint career low). He is not that good receiving the ball and picking out the players in front of him. He needs to play up top, in a two striker line-up. It is the best use of his skills.
Also, heads-up play by Bornstein near the end of the 1st half to interrupt SKC's trick short corner kick. Busio and Russell tried to play it off as prep for the corner kick, but it was pretty clear what they were doing. I still remember the Red Bulls getting away with one of those a few years ago and scoring.
