Let's see how much signing bonus and agent fees Messi will get next summer from Barca or another club on top of his 50 ME wages. Isco should have been sold two years ago. He is not what he used to be. Solari was the first one to see that and was wise enough to kick him out of the starting squad.

 

Meh I think it's been shown twice now that when Isco is not under the blanket of protection from Zidane, Jamed is a much better player.

 

More like when James is not under Zidane's blanket of doom.

He's outperforming more than just Isco which is why the whole situation defies conventional wisdom.

We had Isco, Hazard and Bale on the team (none of them fit for first game) when the decision was made that it was best to give James away for free.

Zidane has got to be the only guy (next to Trump) that can get away with such blatant hypocrisy like having a virtual ban on James from representing the club but will somehow be looking the other way every single day at practice for over a year when it comes to judging other players.

I think we all agree James finally got fed up and moved because he couldn't even get this bare minimum.

 

The bar was set so low that he does not need to do anything close to that. He already has more goals and assist that Hazard has had his whole time here and he will most likely have more goals and assists than both Isco and Hazard combined. Yet the guy couldn't get some burn.

The point is not to shame Zidane of anything. Zidane has his reasons and he wins titles, but clearly the whole James is done, trash, zidane plays players that are better than him story is proven wrong.

Whatever happened between them is fine. Zidane is the coach and plays the players he wants. But dont tell me it's based on fit (Isco and Martin have played 10), quality, or professionalism.

I am not comparing him to James, he is simply not Real Madrid material anymore.
That said I hope he proves me wrong.

 

The fact that he took a pay cut to join a smaller club just to have a fair chance of playing tells me exactly how appropriate his priorities are.


The fact that he joined a midtable club and instantly made them a "top team" tells me how poorly the club misjudged him.

This is stuff we talk about a Messi or Ronaldo doing in theoretical debates, the man is doing it in reality.
