Super impressive, my wife didn’t believe me that he was only 17. Then I told he he was part Argentinian, she is from Argentina, and she said that made sense and that he will do well with the albiceleste. I didn’t have the heart to tell her...
I assume you are on the BVB reddit? That place has a strong hostility towards all Americans at this point from the Pulisic era. They will claim it's because of all the annoying American Pulisic fans, but honestly, there would be a poster here or there but mostly it was know-it-all posters there who complained about Americans posters rather than, you know, any actual annoying Americans. They are also super, super biased towards Germans -- Maxi Philip was supposedly the next Marco Reus when he came to Dortmund despite, you know, not being good. I'm not surprised they have flipped that over to Gio. It's their loss; they get to enjoy winning less.
give him a break- all those celebrations arent easy, especially when its some giant sweaty norwegian kid jumping on you all the time
Gio on pace for 45 assists this Bundesliga season. Would that be a YA record in a Big 4 European league?
Only issue I have with Reyna is the diving. Hate it as a tactic. He was banged around a bit the last game, so he wants to protect himself. Just not how I like to play the game or watch it. If a teammate was getting fouled hard, it gotten taken care of with hard fouls back. I'd rather seem him play like Messi. Just keep rolling and make them pay with goals in the back of the net.
Oh yea, WTF happened to that guy. He was hyped beyond belief by their fans. I see he plays on loan at Wolfsburg now. Found his level I guess.
Actually I think it was Reus who picks it up and has the sense to give it to Reyna who is on the better side of Haaland and able to get the ball to Haaland where he likes to score from.
I hope they don't sell him. Him staying put will have an effect with Barca trying to sell Dembele, meaning our boy KDLF will get a few more minutes off the bench.
I don't dislike Tammy but he'll be playing for some bottom 1/3 EPL team the rest of his career once his contract at Chelsea is up.
I wrote basically the same thing last week and at least one poster here, of course, roasted me for it. I guess it wouldn't be BigSoccer otherwise. I agree that Gio needs to stop worrying about drawing fouls. He is 17 and I think most refs are not going to give him the benefit of the doubt if for no other reason than that, despite his talent.
I commented on the diving in the last two games, but today he appeared to be more determined to play through the challenges.
