I'm going to stick to my guns and continue to say that we shouldn't put much stock in Kicker ratings (good or bad) but that's still an impressive way to start the season and I hope Gio is really enjoying it.

Oh I def agree, except when it comes to team of the week.

We had this discussion about pulisic.

You start making team of the week on a regular basis, kicker rates you world class and Barcelona pays 120m$ for overprice dembele as example.

Only kicker grades that matter are team of week and a bobby wood 6.

Edit. I even created a thread about it on ya.

Burki's inclusion just lost all credibility for those ratings. Nice job, Dude.

Burki had a very important save in the first half that changed the game. I didn't see him make any typical Burki mistakes, did you?

True. I didn't watch the whole match, but the stat sheet shows him making one (1) other save, and I simply refuse to believe some other BL keeper didn't have a more important contribution than a two-save shutout.

The first half save he made was really outstanding though at a point in time the game was in the balance.

No and I guess you are right. He deserved it for his performance of the day though I though he just kinda "did his job" really. I guess I am just so ready to move on past him.

Chelsea will give you a pretty good deal on a young goalkeeper with lots of premier league and champions league experience.

Definitely not CL caliber. For the life of me, I dont get coaches spending big bucks on field players and just keeping with the same "OK" goalkeepers. Note that Bayern and Liverpool have fantastic goalkeepers.

i cant speak to kickers accuracy or usefulness, but i know a system where 1 is the highest/best is pretty freaking questionable.

in fairness to Albert, he changes national allegiance 3 times in his life. That must have been very confusing.

Imagined we might have a player better than Pulisic.

We we all paissing our pants when we see Pulisic emerges, but now Reyna with the potential to surpass Pulisic?

Incredible time to be USMNT, or US soccer fans.

Reyna's contract is set to automatically renew on his 18th birthday, but the club is set to negotiate a longer extension with improved terms.

And the fact we have two central mids under the age of 23 poised to be rotational options at Champions League Clubs in Germany and Italy is an afterthought to some people.

Dest can also surpass Pulisic, as can McKennie and Adams.

no none of them can. defenders/mids just cant impact the game the way an attacker can.

its why dest/wes is 20 mil and CP was 70...

also, just based on how they are/play....none of them can surpass pulisic as a player...

especially from a usmnt angle, outside back and center mids are plentiful....gol scoring and creating wingers are not.

The issue with Puli is his fragility. He keeps missing 35% of each season with injuries, the others can surpass him by being there.
