Well exactly. Maybe he will, maybe he wont but I think we can all agree that the Prem will suit his style better. Than doesnt make it a bad move for us.
The situation is pretty clear. Milik wants Juve and was mostly pushing for the move because of them. But with Sarri gone, Juve aren't that desperate to sign him anymore and will wait a year when his contract is up. So now he has to decide whether to sit on the bench this season so he has the opportunity to sit on Juve's bench next year. Or make a lateral move at best and be a starter here after burning his bridge with Napoli.
Ugh.. it's a bad situation, IMO. I get that most kids don't grow up with a burning desire to play for Roma. We aren't Barca or RM or Man U or Bayern or Juve but we shouldn't have to drag a player here kicking and screaming either.
I think this is overblown by the media. Roma and Napoli have only agreed terms a few days ago, so Roma and Milik just started talking. This is the most important decision of his career and Roma have been a mess lately, its perfectly reasonable that he takes few days to reflect. This happens in many transfers, but because the Dzeko to Juve move depends on this transfer, this situation has been under the microscope and fans are losing their shit. He might still say no, which is fine by me. With 10M gross salary and 30M fee I think Roma can find other good options. But if he says yes, it doesn’t mean he was dragged here just because he took some time to think. Mind you, Strootman took a lot of time to think about moving to Roma too, the media just weren’t aware of it at the time. He came here and he was an instant hit with the fans.
Just because we just agreed with Napoli doesn’t mean we haven’t been in contact with Milik for a long time. Even if we couldn’t negotiate with him directly we’ve almost certainly been in contact with him through intermediaries for a while. Even if he is hesitant about coming here doesn’t mean he won’t do well like you said. It’s only natural for a player that has no ties to the club to want Juventus over us sadly. There’s a chance he’ll be demotivated having to settle for us, but at the end of the day it’s his career at stake too so I doubt he’d just stop caring completely.
Çetin to join Hellas Verona permanently as part of Kumbulla for €8m https://t.co/1NjEarRblv— RomaPress (@ASRomaPress) September 16, 2020 As expected. There will be another random primavera player included too.
Good luck to Mert. We saw little of him, but from the little we saw there was a suggestion there might be a decent player there.
Diego #Perotti's agents are always in talks with #Fenerbahce and are working to reach an agreement for 3-year contract. #ASRoma ask €2M at least. As a new striker #Fener have opened talks with #Udinese for Stefano #Okaka. No personal terms agreed or official bid yet. #transfers https://t.co/7uCImdy04d— Nicolò Schira (@NicoSchira) September 16, 2020 Promising.
I was looking forward to having him back with more experience, but its fine. Verona will want to profit off him too, otherwise they wouldn’t give up Kumbulla on such terms.

I looks like Roma will get 3 mil for Perotti and he will earn 2.5 mil per season https://www.forzaroma.info/calciome...o-dal-fenerbahce-alla-roma-circa-tre-milioni/
Talk that Bouah will be included in the Milik deal. Another promising player who was derailed by ACL injury. IMO, the most important agenda item for Friedkin is finding the best trainers to help figure out what's going on at Roma and ACL injuries. This can't be just coincidence, there has to be something contributing to all the ACL injuries.
Milik gave the ok. I guess Dzeko to Juve is done to. https://www.forzaroma.info/calciome...-si-alla-roma-ora-dzeko-puo-andare-alla-juve/

The net is= 2M for 2 years loan + 13.5M in 2022 + 3.5M bonuses Yes its a good deal and will probably have a positive impact on the income statement for this year.
