Both Bellingham and Sancho start for BVB tonight in their German Cup game against Duisburg.

I also think that’s a pretty good indication that he will feature quite a lot this season.

Bellingham has started very brightly but just got booked for a stupid kicking a ball away probably into the stand. Very silly and a pointless booking and he will have to cut that out as now he will be a red card risk especially with his sliding tackles, not that he’s not good at them but if he mistimes one then he’s off. He has to control his frustrations and to be fair I’m sure he will.

I understand your passion, it's it's nice you admit you let your emotions get ahead of you but I do genuinely think you get concerned about this more than you should.

I think you underestimate how much these players care about playing for England or feel connected to England. I can't speak on behalf of all dual heritage people, but even despite what us going on in the world. England is and will always be my home and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I would love to represent England, and as much as I love and was raised to be proud and with my family's country of origin, if I had a choice about who to represent it would be England no doubt. Whatever other people think I see myself as English/British and the being Black British/English culture isn't a thing without the English part. So relax. And while your not the most PC, which I don't mind particularly, you do make salient points around, the status, the quality of the national teams, and stuff like travelling etc.

Even if you have a player that isn't closely tied to England, representing England on a PR level the glory, sponsorship, global recognition which all feeds the ego and dreams of these kids isn't comparable to going off and playing for Nigeria, I'm not Nigerian but I wouldn't have thought so, definitely for any of the Caribbean islands. So I really think you can relax about it.

As we've said before by the time anyone would even think about playing for them they've likely reached a point where England won't consider them or have felt completely shunned. If England got to the point where Madueke was putting in top quality performance after top performance and was 24 and still not getting a look-in, then ye for career reasons (and ye for family reasons) he would likely happily play for Nigeria, but only if he felt his chances were exhausted. At that point though England would have to either have an incredible squad and if not you wouldn't blame him if we didn't and he was still getting shunned.

The only downside is, ye compared to France it would be great if we could put out 4 top quality teams, and maybe we should look at why French players of dual heritage are willing to stick around and stay loyal to France compared to ours but then again those missing out are top quality players who may genuinely think they still have a chance of representing France. Whereas who's missing out for us Iwobi? He probably just made a smart decision and realised he'd never be good enough for us. Zaha is the only one who is a bit of a loss, but even then????

Yeah he really is, he’s very composed on the ball, passing very accurately and just full of energy and he’s only 17 years old!

Hmmm, well that’s disappointing, he’s been taken off at halftime, not quite sure why, presumably maybe token a knock or something?

It's so great to see two of England's top talents playing abroad together for one of Europe's best teams. You wouldn't have believed it 4 years ago. Not questioning the ability just how they're actually starting to develop and seek other opportunities

Also @roverman to demonstrate this further and show the pull. Let's imagine a reverse Sterling situation. A player born in England that grew up in Jamaica or Nigeria or even born there but just had an English parent. They move here at the age of 15/16 and somehow are good enough for PL football. England come calling or the other country, they would most likely go for England. Don't believe me consider the England cricket team. Archer, Jordan and I think others. The West Indies cricket team relatively is speaking are probably bigger than the Nigerian football team and they still opted for England, and guess what no England fan cares. Imagine how upset West Indians are to see players that have been raised in their poor facilities for their whole life to ignore their home country for the riches that come with playing for England. It's a powerful pull and they will hold out as long as possible to get they chance until it's clear it won't come

Possibly, but not a bad debut, Bellingham has just overtook Nuri Sahin as the youngest Dortmund goalscorer of all time.

Bellingham is 17 years, two months and 15 days. Sahin was six days older, Reyna seven days older.

I would assume it has more to do with the yellow card.

I was going to ask if there is a list to follow the players abroad, particularly the 'good ones' or at least the ones that have at some point represented England.

Sam Iling Jr and Sarmiento aren't on it

Bobby Duncan's Italian challenge looks like it's over, he trains alone at home. Hopeful he can sign for Brentford, which would be great, but he seriously shoud drop his agent.

Might be the midfield general that could make everyone see eye to eye on the CM topic. Best of both worlds, has the power / engine / size ppl are obsessed about in England, + the technical ability to dribble and dictate. Very exciting player.

I’m not always a fan of this but I wonder if it might be worthwhile for the FA to try and fast track him into the U21 set up alongside Bellingham. I don’t want to go on about the Dual issue particularly but in certain circumstances I think it might be worth doing especially if the FA see him as a player of great potential or risk losing him long term.

If he features semi-regularly for Bayern I think that's deserving of an U21 call up in itself.
