If he gets an agent fee for the players he’s moving then he’ll make a he’ll of a lot of money plus a nice slice of the big transfer if the player becomes a hit.
The saddest thing is that in the press everyone is happy with how well Wolves playing and no one cares about Mendes. People are very short sighted, though these kind of things are killing football slowly.
What’s going on with Garner? Seems to be stalling on a loan for some reason. Is his agent being a dick?
From the MEN: 'United at least had the relative seniority of Ethan Galbraith and Garner in midfield, though there is confusion at United as to why Garner is stalling on a Championship loan move. Garner cut a frustrated figure again and could have settled into a Championship club over a fortnight ago, having spoken with the Huddersfield coach Carlos Corberan.' Weird.
The MEN are also reporting that he has a lot of offers and is still deciding. Swansea are off the cards unfortunately as Matt Grimes hasn't moved.
From Ole's comments this pre-season I think we'll see a fair bit of Mengi in the first team this season.
Jimmy Garner to Watford on loan for the season. ✍️ Welcome to Watford, James Garner! pic.twitter.com/I9fMhFslPI— Watford Football Club (@WatfordFC) September 18, 2020
Is that three English DMs under the age of 21 in the Championship? Garner, Skipp and Bird. Plus Bellingham being encouraged to build play from deep at Dortmund. Signs of promise. Was hoping that Doyle might get a loan too but him and THB might get decent minutes in the Cups.
Barcelona have failed in an attempt to sign Max Aarons from Norwich City, despite the right-back agreeing personal terms with the La Liga giants.— Sky Sports (@SkySports) September 19, 2020 Nice of Norwich to turn down what would presumably be a dream move for Aaron’s. Apparently Barca now turning their attentions elsewhere.
In fairness to Norwich, a season-long loan with no obligation to buy gives them absolutely no incentive. They're under no obligation to step aside if it's plainly against their interests.
Argh, didn’t realise that was the deal. I thought it was 20 mil deal from another source I saw. Yeah fair enough if this was the actual deal proposed.
Nelson #Semedo to Wolves is ‘here we go’ and confirmed. The deal is done and will be signed on next few hours also with Barcelona. Personal terms agreed with Mendes until 2025. Medicals on next week. 👌🏻🐺 #Wolves ...now it’s time for Dest [but Bayern are confident to sign him].— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) September 20, 2020 And another Portuguese player moves to Wolves. With both Semedo & Hoever signing it's hard to see Luke Matheson getting much gametime.
Liam Delap on the bench for City tonight, I know obviously injuries have freed up space but the kid has been on fire for quite a while now so really not that surprised.
English eligible players starting in the Premier League, total per matchday: Season 2020/21 Matchday 1 - 68/176 = 38.6% ( Burnley v Manchester Utd & Manchester City v Aston Villa to be added at a later date ) Matchday 2 - 79/220 = 35.9%
Just thought I would see the percentage for say the Big 6 teams, so that would be Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs. 16/66 = 24.2% which is pretty grim even though I think that number has scope for improvement in the future.
England coaches below Senior level have been confirmed for the season ahead:England U21s – Aidy BoothroydEngland U20s – Lee CarsleyEngland U19s – Ian FosterEngland U18s – Kevin BetsyEngland U17s – Justin CochraneEngland U16s – Rob EdwardsEngland U15s – Lee Skyrme— aidan (@englandyouth) September 24, 2020 Lee Carsley U20’s coach I see, didn’t see that one coming.
Delap scored, looks a very good prospect. Only 17, but built for men’s football doyle has been the pick of the bunch though. Looks class
Nothing against these appointments, but thought it was an interesting quirk that although all of them were born in England, 4 played international football for another country.
