That was a pretty solid comeback last night after 901 caught a few Indy players walking in Memphis in the opening 20 minutes. Excellent goal by Pasher to take the lead, and some nice passing to set up the clincher. What a great start to the season. (No apologies for the Marc Cohn reference, either.)

Currently, Indy's one point down on Louisville in the group. What I'm amazed by is the fact that Swope Park, despite the hideous hand they were drawn (14 out of 15 games on the road and playing against tough teams), have managed 4 wins so far. I thought there going to be lambs to slaughter. Of course, if I wanted to look for awful reserve squads, Portland II and RGV Toros have more than disappointed and given me that TFC II stink I'm reminded of in the past.
2 wins out of the last 10 games is not a good way to finish a season. Finished 12 points behind Louisville.
Despite the late season collapse, I've said it a few times on my site that I don't think Rennie gets sacked and I still think that is true. Though the late season struggles each year is a disconcerting trend, particularly in a year with only 16 games...
I suspect you're right--there's a good chance that Rennie stays. I've never liked him as a coach, however. He seems incapable of coaching a coordinated attack. If the defense isn't going to be absolutely stifling, that's not good enough.
We all know these are weird times. Sports as a whole are hemorrhaging money, even more so than usual for D2 soccer. You don't can a coach now unless you're sure you can get someone better at the same price or cheaper. With that being said, there have to be a ton of college coaches around the country who are anxious over the future of their programs. Maybe there's an opportunity to pull someone with a resume from a college program on the brink? Although moving to a D2 soccer club may not be the most stable move at this point either...
