Minnesota a very up-and-down team too. We are not without hope.

Both teams are going to be down numerous players from the sounds of it.

    KC's "not medically cleared"

Also Ilie likely isn't playing either

Did we ever get word on the Pulido injury?

Seriously. What's with the team being so secretive about it? Makes me think they're up to something.

You guys want secretive? We STILL don't know what's up with Ike Opara.

Teams now only have to give medically cleared or not any more. Don't have to disclose reasons either.

Busio was simply fantastic tonight. Amazed at how well he has picked up the defensive midfield position in such a short time.

In a month I’ve gone from thinking yippee, we might get paid for a long term project to wondering if we might be able to keep hold of him beyond next season. He’s fantastic

I think Vermes wants PAID for that kid. Doesn't want another EPB situation. I think this run of form makes it more likely that he's sold, not less.

Yeah, I remain astounded by how quickly he's learned the position. Up until very recently, I figured he was just hyped because of his age, but I'm seeing a professional player every minute out there. Admittedly his real tests are yet to come, but if he trends this way for much longer, he's not gonna be cheap sell at all!

And for the first time I also find myself hoping we never sell him.

Totally agree about the never sell part. Having these homegrowns puts us fans in a tough spot. I want them to do great, be successful, etc., but (selfishly) not be SOOOO great that they get sold. Oh well.

Good job by PV and the coaching staff to identify his potential at the 6, give him some games, and let him learn from his mistakes. To be honest, I would rather he play the 6 over Illie. Busio covers so much more ground and is really good at playing the switching passes that unbalance the other team.

Hernandez also looks like a baller.

Agree, but instead of the EPB situation, where the player who wants to go to Europe eventually runs out of contract and goes (without really ever contributing significantly to SKC), we can sell, sign and repeat. I think there are a couple of high level Academy kids that we'd have more $$ to sign to contracts potentially. Nati Clark and Gage Akula. Also, with the way Harris has been scoring down at SKCII, I wouldn't mind him taking Hurtado's spot next year as Pulido's backup (with Sheldon as an option) ... saying that without knowing Hurtado's contract.

Hernandez is helping find the "Roger" replacement. Nice to not have to go outside an organization to replace someone as successful as Roger. The youngin's needed a result like last night. Since they've been playing we haven't gotten a bunch of W's (any?) so they need to push over that hump.

I'd like to see Busio get a little smarter with his fouling, he picked up his 4th yellow of the season last night. But then I'm just nitpicking here.

Fair. They've been not the greatest--and I think a good DMid needs to keep the tactical foul as an option for as long as possible!

It’s nice to have to go there for a nit to pick, though. Picking the right tactical foul is a matter of experience. At this rate of growth he’ll have that mastered by his 20th birthday. He looks stunningly comfortable and controlled for anyone new to a position, much less an 18 year old. Last night I watched young Reyna for BDort. Massive talent and very high potential but a number of tactical moments when he looked confused. Not seeing those with Busio. As for selling him, right now he’s worth a bit, but that’s $1 m to $5m territory. Next year that number could be a lot higher. Transfermarkt has his contract expiring in December. I’m assuming they’re confused by the option years that keep him around for a while yet? Still, time to come offer a new deal

Yes they're confused, KC has option years until 2022.

What were his final stats? I think I heard he was 31 of 32 passing at halftime with a bunch of intercepted passes.

Does MLS still offer the Audi stats? It doesn't appear to work, but the links are still showing, so not sure if it's my own user error.

Those boys are going to be 16 pretty soon, I believe. If they are going to make a move to convince them to sign, it better be quick. They are both desired by European clubs.
