First match of La Liga was supposed to be vs Getafe but it was postponed. Now the first match is on September 19/20th vs Real Sociedad away. We don't play at home until the end of the month.

    19/20 Sept. vs Real Sociedad
    7/8 Oct. vs Valencia
    24/25 Oct. vs Barcelona
    5/6 Dec. vs Sevilla 1
    2/13 Dec. vs Atletico]

Hopefully we can defend the La Liga title and do much better in UCL. HALA MADRID!

Here's to a season of success minus the injuries.

Nope. It will be training and then La Liga matches just like the restart last season. There's an International break this weekend as well.

It's hard to see how there won't be any injuries in the first couple of months without a proper pre-season. I mean the NT games in October and November almost guarantee that.

Just hope players like Casemiro and Carvajal don’t get injured because we have no adequate replacement for them.

Odriozola is back and he will be the RB backup but Casemiro doesn't have anyone. We can do without him for a game or two but if he missess a month or more we are screwed.

We gambled on him staying healthy last year and it paid off but should we do it again?

At this point I’m hoping that someone like Antonio Blanco stands out in training and can be a stand in or reserve option. Otherwise, I’m really not sure how we can feel good going into another season without a like for like replacement.

Maybe Zidane thinks he can move Kroos back to the number 6 role flanked by Valverde and Ødegaard from time to time. But those two would have to run themselves into the ground for us to have anywhere near the same defensive solidity Casemiro provides.

i just read an article posted on this site where ZZ says Toni can play anywhere in midfield including as a 6, so maybe the answer to the Casemiro backup question (or worry) is already known, at least in ZZ's eyes, for what it's worth i don't agree with him based on what we've seen before, let's see what ZZ actually does.

    Let's hope so.

Roberto Martinez, Belgium NT coach recently said that he needs to look after his knee before and after every game for the rest of his career. With no time to rest properly and no pre-season i fear that he's gonna be injured again.

I don't know why I said knee, I meant the ankle that he injured twice already.

Odegaard is going to debut against his old club. That will be interesting. I hope he scores and then, not celebrates gracefully.

Lol. Dissing? Lol Lyra. The thing is most of us have grown up beyond the age of 12 where we don’t feel the need to rabidly Stan a player on the Internet even if he’s on our team. And also not to worry about internet clout or whatever. If you’re not giving anything to Real Madrid you’re gonna get “dissed”. When you contribute to our cause and justify the millions you’re being paid you’ll be adored. Simple.

Too many people have been making jokes about him being fat and how he's been one of the worst signings in the history. Check hAzard thread for reference. All I'm saying is he's gonna turn the things upside down this season and shut the mouths of haters.

    Toni Kroos, always so straightforward.

“I am not sad that Messi is leaving. For Madrid, it is good. Barca loses a very important player”

The team had a preseason, it was the ten match stretch and the CL game a few weeks ago. They had what, two to three weeks off? Plus we're training without a game all the way until the third week of September?

    I don't think it'll be an issue.

I'm one of few posters that has defended Hazard at times, but his first season was plain horrible. He was unlucky to get injured twice but despite that, he simply didn't do anything. Unless he switches gears and plays much better, it's fair to consider him as one of the worst signings in the last 10 years.

I've said before that I don't expect Hazard to start shining until 2021. I just hope that he can finish 2020 without getting injured again.

He deserves every piece of criticism he has received. Acting as though the response from the fans was somehow unjustified is complete nonsense.

Well.... because he has been fat and he has been one of the worst signings in our history.

Both thinga could have been avoided if he were dedicated from the beginning to his "dream club".

Rumours from Spanish media that Fatzard returned back at training camp. Biggest bust in Madrid history. Is it too late to sell him?
