Same, though I have heard this will also be sold via Amazon and the Nordecke, so if you are patient you can probably get it cheaper.
$12.95? Wow. From what I understand, shipping will be significantly cheaper if you order directly from Pete, plus there will be another component associated with that. More info and details coming soon. I'd recommend holding off if you can wait just a little bit longer. (Not sure of the exact timing of the formal release, but it will be soon.)
I'd gladly rep a fellow monkey but I just today ran across my copy of Massive Season and realized that it still isnt signed by the author. Whoever he is.
No idea. But my copy of his book will be on my doorstep tomorrow, according to the fantastic and all-around superior notifications of United Parcel Service.
I enjoyed the book. A lot of the story has already been told in various forms (Newspaper, magazine, Podcasts) but the book does a really good job of bringing all of this together and expanding on some aspects. The book is entirely focused on the core Save the Crew team, there isn't much insight from outside the group other than a few quotes here and there. It could have done with another edit pass though. There are a few quotes, and in one instance en entire paragraph, which are used multiple times, usually in the same chapter. Most likely this was done on different drafts and wasn't caught before it went to print.
Here's a Q&A I recently did with the author. There's a fun story about where he was when the Crew got saved. https://sirkbook.com/2020/09/04/q-a-pete-mcginty-author-of-accidental-heroes/
Newsflash: Non-Soccer Fan is Shocked to Learn That Soccer Fans Aren't Just Group Of Buddies Drinking Beer and High Fiving I'm so sick of that narrative. Still a good book, though.
Only real question is Pete McGinty related to Iron Balls McGinty? https://images.app.goo.gl/wUJ6SnCvTuQXQSkZ6
