Community Shield. Arsenal v Merseyside Red. August 29 @ 11:30am in the USA on ESPN+ August 29 @ 11:30am in Canada on whatever channel they decide August 30 @ 1:30am in Australia on Kayo/FoxSports And we are back! I have shaken off the hangover from the FA Cup victory as we continue the short build up to next season. Next big bit of silverware on the line against Liverpool, time to get their season off to the worst start possible. We haven't won 2 in a row Vs Pool since 2012, time to change that and continue our great run of winning Community Shields. No teams out yet, but would imagine we go with a similar team to our last preseason hit out. Come On You Gooooooooooners.
Pseudo super cup final thingy. I’m gonna have to watch this on replay I’m afraid. Hoping that my Roku Espn app doesn’t have some stupid spoiler.
Not sure how much to read into this as we don't know who is available and who isn't. No Ozil, Guendouzi, Lacazette or Pepe. Holding starts despite being close to a loan move to Newcastle. Martinez starts over Leno. AMN and Elneny start. 📋 Team news bang on time! ⏰🏆 Here's how we line up for today's game...🔜 #CommunityShield | #ARSLIV— Arsenal (@Arsenal) August 29, 2020
I mean for what we have in the clubhouse and up to game speed that's not bad, but if they don't resign Ceballos they better come up with Plan B fast or Arsenal will have a rough start to the campaign. Not expecting a win today but I would hope to see the level of hustle and attacking intent we saw near the end of last season.
Really high line from Pool and the commentary on my feed said Pool were down 2 nil in their last match because of it. Really hoping the rumors of a Luiz sale are true, so far today all he has done is help Pool get easy possession.
It's a call-back to an Adidas kit from the early 90's. Personally, I like it. Why Nike would pay homage to it on their very first LFC kit is beyond me though.
Just the shade looks weird on the close up. Its like when we had that nike kit with the blue on the sleeves. Not the worst, just sometimes it screams of a designer trying to do too much and ruining it.
The game has totally shifted since Auba's goal. LFC look nervous, and we have the creativity and desire to score even more now
Also have to say that Elneny has looked solid so far. His marking has been great, with really good distribution.
Eddie with another good scoring opportunity at the top of the box, but sails it well over the crossbar. He must do better.
God Pool are going down very easily today. I know its basically a scratch match but have some respect for yourselves.
