If Illinois teams are willing to play all their games outside Illinois then I would think they can start as well.

We're in a first div and were sent a schedule with our Sept games in South Bend...but we're apparently waiting for MWC conference approval...i just think they haven't finalized it for all groups and haven't updated the website...makes no sense to have IL only divisions when they know no one can play in IL!?!?

Rent a field in Wisconsin or Indiana.

I expect the league and club to manage that though.

Clearly the league is allowing it so at this point the clubs have to decide if they want to do it. If so there are avenues to play. From what I have heard a lot of the MRL teams are scheduling games in Indiana

Yup agreed. Club should figure it out or communicate. Im thinking the majority of parents have no idea whats up.

Did anyone hear anything about first division and below. Seems like this is the group, Bracketed as Illinois only that’s in the dark.

Yeah and now I hear ECNL is back on this week with Eclipse playing games out of state.

    USYS - Pathetic!

I'm hearing that SOME IL first division teams don't want to play out of state and that's holding it up for everyone...but not sure I believe this...maybe the league just doesn't want to risk too many teams playing....which isn't fair...

The is becoming a ludicrous situation by MWC and local clubs. The number of teams playing in First div/qualifier and overall club recognition is quite robust. Rather insulting to those teams that the perception is they don't matter. Lack of updates and communication from most clubs also.

It can't be difficult to drop clubs that don't want to play. And play two games a day over 3 weeks to complete 6 games. Nonsense.

Any clubs that refuse intra club scrimmages, out of state travel for tournaments, and are not lobbying MWC should be ridiculed and dropped by most players.

Apparently First Division and Conf Qualifier clubs will be notified this week. From what I heard the First Division calendars cannot be re-aligned. IYSA would not tell me what that means despite me asking. So my guess is that we are not playing. They will go the distance for the top levels but not the rest - at least that's what the optics look like now. They fail to communicate with any sort of transparency - in fact quite the opposite (club v club).

We'll see but I am guessing they are more concerned with revenue from Presidents Cup and Super Cup (now with more cheese in the crust) then actually trying to facilitate schedule changes to ensure that the entire platform has a chance to play.

I wonder if any kids will leave their club for one with teams in leagues that are playing.

Why? For following the guidelines from IYSA and the state of Illinois? I get that some clubs and players are desperate to get games in but why ridicule others that do not want to.

I don't think that should even be an issue. There should be plenty of teams willing to play to at least get something together for most divisions.

Look, Libertyville polled the parents with children in Club v Club and they decided to give it a go. If clubs are not willing to do the same for the First Divisions (they would be traveling anyhow), then they should inform their parents and refund some costs. I would hold off on that for Qualifiers because they are usually all in State.

Now if the clubs cannot poll parents because IYSA refuses to accomodate soccer for the First Divisions then the clubs should think hard about whether they should remain in the MWC at all.

The other part of this that is ridiculous is that the teams from the other states who are left in the first divisions only have a few other teams to play...so each team only has about 4 games scheduled for the Fall or at best they play the same three teams twice each.

MWC is the biggest one at fault here basically making the pyramid they created rather pointless. All focus is on Prem 1/2 and CvC. Which to many is fine, but the sheer number of good teams not in those groups looking for a way in is quite large.

And after that clubs who are taking exorbitant fees without detailing their plan for most teams, while other clubs either are playing out of state tournaments and /or scrimmaging in pods. This is independent from mwc games.

The guidelines of Illinois allow for both while some teams are bending rules for intra club scrimmaging.

TC- Club v club games scheduled, rest is lockdown
Evolution- playing Prem, out of state tournaments for even iwsl teams
Galaxy- scrimmaging in pods, club v club, prem scheduled
    Wizard-out of state tournaments

I am thinking MWC is the problem. The lack of willigness to speak with parents and just point them to the clubs means they have built a solid wall of insulation protecting them from being a transparent organization. They sure do like our $$$ though

That said - Campton has reduced costs greatly. And to be honest. If MWC moves 05 and up to Spring that would mean more soccer then we would have normally had - since girls high school is not moved to summer. Essentially the Fall is all a plus.

That said - I view this as two seperate issues and the problem I have is with how USYS and IYSA have destroyed the MWC and are not catering only to the exclusive few that somehow kissed ass to get in.

Does anyone even know what standards were followed for Club v Club???

We just got a club survey which asked parents if we would participate in games in the surrounding States.

Did you get this survey from your club also?

This survey came from our club 2 days after MWC informed us that a notice to the clubs would go out this week. So despite my jamming USYS/MWC it appears they are open to play outside of Illinois providing they can get enough teams together.

Now if that happens the real question for high school girls will be whether we have a Spring MWC season as well - since most schools are now pushing girls high school soccer to summer. Could be a good deal of soccer for what we are paying for IMO which would be a good thing.

So with that... My daughter asked me last night if girls can play on the boys high school team - which will play in this Spring. She knows a good deal of the boys and plays with/against them during the year - both indoor and outdoor.

Anyone know if the IHSA rules preclude this?

I am thinking if she asks again we'll have a deeper conversation on it and then I'll speak with her club coach. My thought is - if it's something she wants to do and MWC does not have a Spring season (Fall is it), then I will then email the h/s boys coach and ask his thoughts.

We have not received communication yet from our club. We should have stayed in Prem lol.

I believe these discussions started last week with MWC. But maybe something is being finalized this week. How many fields are in Portage?

First Div and Qualifier teams (clubs) were just notified this week according to MWC. I think we got out a Survey the same day the club got the notice from MWC. That said I bet you will get yours today or tomorrow. If not and you are in Frist Div or Qualies then I would start to ask.
