Okay, the main point and some possibilities at the moment, is:

1- Messi wants to leave, regardless of what happens, I have no doubt about that.

1.1 - He will probably want to fight for Barcelona to accept the contract clause in which he can leave, the clause expired in June, I think, however with the coronavirus, maybe he and the lawyers think that the clause can be taken into consideration .

2 - Messi stays, bartomeu and all ******* leaves, Messi gains power within Barcelona and probably all the players who remained as possible sales and departures, do not leave, they may not be all, but some.

3 - Messi leaves, with a good value paid to Barcelona, we continue with this shitty board, incompetent, that made Barcelona arrive where it arrived.

3.1 - With the money, believing that Koeman can help with the reformulation of the team, with the board letting him work in peace, maybe we can hire a neymar, or someone of caliber, to be able to raise the conditions of the team, with an internal restructuring also being done.

These are things that came to my mind, I don't know what to think, I just know that Messi is also taking advantage of the moment and the dirty board that we have, to make this decision, this is undeniable, he is in his right, besides, he is being treated like shit, when in fact he is the greatest player in the history of the club.

EDIT 1: I AM SO PISSED ABOUT THIS WHOLE SHIT ALL BECAUSE OF A SHITTY BOARD!

I'm not a lawyer but 1.1 above sounds bogus! Barca has already been back playing for months since COVID put the season on halt. At best, the 31 May deadline translates to "right after the end of La Liga season but before the CL final". Well, we're now even past that so...

That said, if #1 is really true (i.e. Messi wants to leave) then the transfer wouldn't bring us much money anyway. I mean we will be forced to comply with his wishes, given all that he has done for the club. And I don't even think Man City can afford his transfer and wages. And they are part of a very very short list of possible destinations.

Desperate to offload someone + not many potential buyers = shit selling price. #economics101

    I know right ! $200m ! Who's gonna pay that ! :ROFLMAO:

I'd be happy with 120m. If he goes for free the club will be the butt of all jokes.

I agree in part with what you say. But we are talking about Lionel Messi, I don't know how far the barrier of a football club goes when talking about Lionel Messi, if any club has the chance, to hire him, he will pay the amount due and will hire him , this is a 1 in 1 million chance to happen, Lionel Messi free on the market, nobody would imagine it even in a dream, today we imagine it because of the whole scenario that Barcelona is experiencing. I have no doubt, that at the moment, other directors of the potential clubs in Europe are meeting, talking about how they can hire him.

That is the point right, we also cannot let you leave without receiving anything, even though the Barcelona board is useless, it cannot even happen.

With this Board, anything is possible. Including Messi going to PSG on a 1-year loan with us picking up half the salary.

My goodness, I don't even want to dream about it, if Messi goes to psg, it will be a tragedy, both for the club and for Messi.

Sure, but I also think it would be for Messi, footballing speaking, he can go wherever he wants, of course, where he feels better, but sports speaking, I don't know if it will be the best choice, supposing. But for the club, it will be a joke, a big joke!

Bartomeu is gone, seems he has stepped down, quit, given up, defeated.

Messi best and most important goal EVER.

It's the only chance that Lionel Messi will stay at the club, Bartomeu and his shitty board ask to leave, by the way, is this happening right now?

    Translation to english:
Bartomeu and his Board must resign immediately.

They have been undermining the morale of #Messi to save themselves from the economic and sporting turmoil they have created.

If they resigned, there would still be hope that Messi would stay at # Barça

This. The club would be well advised to get an okay transfer fee as fast as possible and get this over and done with as quickly. Everything else is a nightmare.

I don’t think Messi wants to see the club crash and burn either. He just saw his buddy get treated like crap as the last straw and said, “screw it, I’m out.” You’ll never get his value, but grab a decent fee and get it over with.

Barcelona would accept 222m€ for Messi, according to Catalan radio RAC1.

Messi contacted Pep Guardiola a few days ago. He wants a winning project. Manchester City have 300 million euros to spend for transfers. [cat radio]

Messi is studying Manchester City’s offer. He has already been in contact with Pep. City are willing to pay a large sum and potentially include Gabriel Jesus in the deal. [@gerardromero via@ActualiteBarca]

For Messi there is no way back. He considers to have fulfilled a cycle in Barcelona. There are contacts over a move to Manchester City. [
    @verobrunati]

Bartomeu has no intention of resigning. [cadena ser]

Bartomeu has told SPORT that he did not submit a resignation. [sport]

Gabriel Jesus is the name that has been put on the table. Manchester City would be willing to transfer him to Barça within the Messi operation. And cash, of course. [globo via

What a horrible way to leave for the best player in the club’s history.

It is easy to put all the blame on Bartomeu and the board but socios are equally to be blamed imho. The signs were there, but the socios either didn’t care or are too dumb.

Bartomeu is a scumbag. But he's always been a scumbag, back to before he was the official wiper of Rosell's ass. Anyone with eyes to see has always known he was a scumbag, has known that he sucked, has known that he cared more about himself than FCB.

So at some level, it makes no sense to blame Bartomeu. That's like blaming a virus for making people sick -- instead, the blame would belong with people who had the ability to respond to the virus and did nothing. So, the blame goes to the socis who voted for Bartomeu, despite all the evidence of what he was and is.

Hello, friend, I am a former Barcelona fan, but the political part is unknown to me, can you summarize for me, how does voting work in the club's elections? Is it a right, indirect vote? Do all socis vote?

Another source in Brazil says he talked to a person close to Neymar who said Messi contacted Neymar recently and said his intention is to go to Man City. And that he was trying to convince Neymar to make the same move.

I don't trust this guy as much but it's possible. He mostly reports on Brazilian football moves.

    1. To vote in the presidential election, you first have to be a member (socio/soci).
    2. You must be over the age of 18, and have been a member for at least one year.
    3. You must vote in person, at the Camp Nou.

In the last presidential election, just shy of 110,000 socis were eligible to vote. Just over 47,000 (43%) did vote. Poor voter turnout is not just a thing in the U.S. :(
