    yes-yes, it's just that I have not checked the last/ current game to make this list (that I made months ago). And perhaps I have tagged users who did not log in in a long time btw.

    Alternatively, for 'Up to and including 1980' a young Maradona could be allowed, plus young-ish Platini and Zico, Socrates etc too I guess, so that the pool of highest level stars would be bigger to spread around. Maybe 1981 even could be a good cut-off point, starting the modern era draft in 1982 (World Cup year) although Cruyff retired in 1984 of course.

    Anyway, like I say no problem to overlap I think - it would still be one 'oldies' draft followed by the modern eras one (the latter one in Sheep Draft form). If you want to decide what is best for your draft I can adjust plans for the Sheep Draft slightly accordingly, if it seems necessary in any way (but yeah I am thinking I'd go with early 80s as the starting point for that one which in effect excludes Pele as he was in his prime, and pretty much Beckenbauer for example too, as well as Best, Rivera etc).

    What is the period we have chosen?

    Would love to revisit WC 98-02 too.

    I am sure there is a universe where the Netherlands/Italy won a World Cup or European Championship in this period.

    Pre-1990 may be a little tough for me as I fancy myself more as a 1990-2010 type of guy. Love the idea though and will definitely be watching to see what you guys come up with. Let me know if a post 1990 none ever gets going!

    Pre-1990 would mean not being able to pick anyone who played post January 1st 1990? So Maradona would be out, for example?

    In about some hours, I'll open the Draft of All Eras.

    Players can be picked, considering his performance, in these eras:
    Until 1929 --> 1 pick
    1930 - 59 --> 3 picks
    1960 - 89 --> 5 picks.
    1990 - now --> 7 picks.

    For example, if you pick Garrincha, using the 1930-59 window, he will be rated according his form in those years.

    The timezones, each drafter must be chose to pick are:
    GMT 07:00 - 15:00
    GMT 15:00 - 23:00
    GMT 23:00 - 07:00

    Depending drafters, the tournament phase could be:
    - Just ranking teams (in this case, 1 player for each era must be in the starting XI)
    - Tournament: same team can be fielded just 2 times (no bans)

    New draft idea.

    International Cap Budget Draft

    You get a total budget of 150 caps to select 11 players.
    So if you take Pele with your first pick (92 caps), you then have a remaining bdget of 58 caps for the 10 other players.
    Dual internationals would be determined by their total caps.
    Once the starting 11 is selected, you get a further 50 caps plus whatever remained from the original budget to select a bench of five players.

    Anyone interested?

    Holy crap, 150 caps. I'm interested but I'm not sure I have the time to do the necessary research to participate.

    Same here 150 is too little imo...thats 13.6 caps per player

    What about players that havent been capped? Would their 0 count?

    Could move up to 200 without much issue. Wouldn't want to go further than that though.

    Uncapped players would be 0 for the budget.

    This is a great idea I’m up for it

    makes it challenging

    I also wanted to suggest the next draft had no current players in it, only ones who had retired as I don’t think it’s fair comparing players without seeing their whole career
