I don't know how the local Barcelona fans think, but I think everyone has to leave, the board on Tuesday has to drop the note for the club's public relations and leave, elections and then start a new process. About the "leaders" players, for me all but Messi, I see Messi as a key piece to orchestrate the new blood of Barcelona, he can help in this process, right after everything is settled in the club, he retires and his career ends, but I really think Messi is indispensable.

He basically only covers Barca so he is pretty knowledgeable . He is also a fan since R9 time at the club . But he is not shy of criticizing the club .

winger (Either flank) or striker (in a 4-4-2) imo are his best positions.

My contacts are saying that Messi is likely to leave to inter, the team will need to be built around Trincao.

Just watching a young , fit and fast Lyon team leading comfortably against ManCity .. we are just too old , slow and unfit for today’s football

Bringing a perennial loser back to Barca is a cure for what exactly. Not really new blood at all.

I wonder, if Setien had opted for Riquí and Ansu Fati yesterday to start, if we would’ve been ran over in the first half?

What has he accomplished since leaving Barca - winning the league with Bayern year after year - my cat could do that. Winning the league with City two years in a row with their payroll?

How is that progress? Not saying he isn't a great coach but moving forward is moving forward. Pep as coach was a risk initially and he proved people wrong after moving up from the youth teams. Barca could've hired a retread but they didn't.

    Give Xavi a chance.

Screw Pep. He could’ve been our rock, our Wenger/our Ferguson, but he left. Give someone else a chance.

He spent over 1 billion with M.City and failed to even get them to the final of CL , same thing with Bayern.

he can't do anything without good players and we don't have any right now , we can't purchase new players and we even sold Arthur because we are in debt , i don't think he will be crazy enough to come with our current situation.

I don't really blame him for failing at Bayern and City. Bayern core got too old kind of like us now. Robben, Ribery, Schwein just didn't cut it at some point... With City I think he's done a good job coaching but could have assembled the team better like spend some money on defenders.

Xavi has said he won’t work under the current president so that means not for another year at least

Personally, I feel Rosell was the main reason Pep left. Pep has said he feels indebted to Laporta for being given the chance to coach with no experience and I think if Laporta asked him to return he would seriously consider it. Pep's contract at Eastlands ends after next season so it's set up nicely.
Xavi appears to be on Victor Font's side but I can't help but wonder... if Laporta were to win the elections next year and Pep agreed to return short term, would Pep ask Xavi - and would Xavi be willing - to be assistant coach for a year or two and then take over (?)

Yet so many 30+ players are delusional, think they are still elite and can play week in week out against younger, stronger players. Pretty sure last night humiliation open all of their eyes.

If Messi feels bad because all of his friends are no longer starter or leave this club, he has to accept it.

Well, last season was pretty close to treble. No wonder the likes of Pique, Alba, Busquet are still considered as good enough to be starters for this season. Suarez still did well before getting injured .However, its basically Messi who's carrying the team and covering those holes.

Messi is so good that he dont even needs to run that much to score and creating so many chances. However, no matter how good one player or the entire forward line is , there's no subtitute for weak midfield and defence.

Look at Messi in 2009-2011 Argentina or in 2018, he's still stronger than he's now but what there's nothing he can do if the team midfield and defence getting completely overrun.

If a blowout happened but no fans saw it in person, did it really happen?

There's absolutely no reaction by the fans in Barca, just a few banners and small group shouting at some player cars. This will bring no change with yet another wasted trophyless season coming. I guess if 4 consecutive years of humiliation doesn't anger you, you deserve yet another humiliation! A Manita! The fans are a disgrace if they don't show their discontent and make the board feel there are consequences for making a fool out of the club!

why blame the fans ? it's the Socis fault for voting for bartomeu in 2015 even after the whole Sandro Rosell scandal then doing nothing to remove him laters when Benedito tried the vote of no confidence in 2017.

They are the ones who were capable of removing him not the fans and they should be ashamed of what happened to the club because it is their fault he is there in the first place.

People have to deal with Covid 19 daily so they may not use their time for things like these.

Club must do it by themself.

People has other things to do in life outside football. For many casual fans, its just another bad result. Do you expect the city population to riot over sport game result?

Rumor is 17 players gonna be on market this summer. Only Messi, Ter Stegen, De Jong, youngster like Puig, Fati are untouchable.

Friend ForzaBarca, I know it seems crazy what I'm going to say, but don't think the fans are wrong, I live in Brazil, here things are completely out of control when talking about football, in a result similar to the result of Barcelona , fans would surely be grappling, breaking, doing crazy in front of the clubhouse, threatening players and things that disgust me just by talking. It turns out that this has no positive effect, on the contrary, it only makes the situation worse, just compare the situation of football here with European football, I understand that there has to be a kind of protest, but I also thank the fans for having more education and dissent of what is right or wrong, there in Europe. But I agree with you to the point that the fans do not remain silent, this has to be talked about and more and more talked about, so that the entire Barcelona board takes action as soon as possible, the perfect thing would be for everyone to leave, but I doubt it will happen.

The information we have here in Barcelona, this Sunday, August 16, 2020, is that Lionel Messi wants to leave barcelona, now! And the board of the barça, has already been communicated about this. Messi still has 3 or 4 years of good football ahead of him, and the Barcelona sporting project doesn’t please, who gave us the information, of course, that we will maintain the anonymity of the source, but that he was a person from within Barcelona, who he told us off "I never saw Messi, so out of Barcelona, in so many years here, as now!", is information passed here from inside the Camp Nou, is that Messi wants to leave at this moment. He still has this fine € 700 million ticket, but the sports project that Barcelona did not pass on to him for the next season, and he does not believe in the sports project, after an 8-2 , is the reason for that messi wants to leave Barcelona at that moment.
