is there a possibility for a reversal in that call? and replay the last minutes right after the goal. or just to allow a goal in general? thanks
I don't think the FA can force it. Nearest I can think of was a cup game between Birmingham and the goons a few years back when Birmingham kicked the ball out for an injury, the goons then took the throw and passed it to their own player who ran on and scored. Technically not against the rules, but terrible sportsmanship. Birmingham players were a tad upset and walked off the pitch abandoning the game. Decision was made to replay it.
Hey, the call was horrible....no question about it....but in a sense no harm was done. No way we deserve three points from that match.....and it wasn't like they robbed us of a well taken goal.....Carrol flubbed what should have been an easy catch. We didn't earn the three points, and we don't get the three points, its all even in the end.
United had most of the pressure in the game and we would have taken a point at kickoff, however the fact is we put the ball in the net and they didn't. You put the ball in the net more times than the opposition, you win. That is the simplest and most important rule, otherwise its not a game, its a lottery of who can put the most pressure on the referee and get the calls in their favor.
Factually, you are correct, my point was more about the Kharmic aspect of who deserves three points from that match. Which is why I stated it all balances in the end. 99.9% of the time that lob from Mendes doesn't go in....hence we didn't earn the win with our play....we would have been gifted the win by Carroll's blunder. The soccer gods obviously agree with me
Karma has no real place in football. If there was then this decision would have gone our way to make up for all the poor decisions favouring United at Old Trafford in the past. A*senal would have been relegated to the non-leagues after cheating their way to the top flight years ago. If the team who had the most shots and possession won all the time there would be no upsets or dreams for the underdog. A very empty and soulless game it would be then.
WTF guys Football or soccer or whatever you call it is the least karmatic game there is. It is a total capitolist setup, completely survival of the fittest where the rich get everything. So I am totally pissed off. I don't care that the goal was a fluke, I don't care if Carroll isn't fit to keep for a junior team. I want my ********ing 3 points and scumming Man U to lose their point.
