This Juve team might be comparable . Very limited . But not before that.

    Hmmm....

My point is that if you replaced Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi with X and Y players with the same impact/level, Barcelona would still have won 6 or even the same 7 titles out of 9 they are competing imo.

Replace them with your average La Liga player, for example.

The types of goals Ronaldo scored on the CL trebble, I could see putting Lewandowski in his place and they still win those titles.

who would score goals for that tiki taka Barca? Iniesta?

as celito said. Cristiano is replaceable.

You can put Kane there. Not quite as good, but can do 85% of Cristiano's skills.

Remember, celito. Real Madrid wasn't the same team as well.

Modric and Marcelo are old and in most games they are just shadows of what they were before. Bale was wounded by injuries. Vinicius, a 19-year-old who doesn't know how to pass or shoot, a Rodrygo who had no physicality for the Campeonato Paulista. An injured Asensio, an injured Hazard.

Real Madrid have a Benzema (out of his prime, although it looks like he is not) in attack and that's it. Kroos, Casemiro in the middle of the field. Valverde useful in some games and the defense, that without a Ramos, also out of his peak, comes down.

Between 2010-2011 - 2018-2019 only in La Liga. (some matches included from 2019-2020 season too)

    35 Matches, 27 W (77% Win Percentage), 2 D, 6 L without Messi (2.37 Points), 2.68 Goals for without Messi.

Someone scored these goals, you can check it you want if Pedro, Villa, Alexis Sanchez, Neymar, Suarez, Iniesta, Rakitic, Pique, Xavi, Abidal etc.

I know some data from Suarez and Neymar for example:

    Wrong

What you meant to say was he hasn't played on a team so "bad" and achieved as much as Messi

    Sporting lisbon 2002/03
    Portugal 2008-2014
    Manchester United 2003-2005
These are downgrades on any Barcelona side since 2004

Obviously I mean in his prime or near it. Those are all pre-prime when Ronaldo wasn't expected to perform. And I also meant at club level not NT.

If you're going to make this argument, I will say Messi played in Barca B.

    Your argument is absurd
    Barcelona B

    What's next

If you meant something else fine

But don't double down with something this ridiculous

I've explained/clarified it to you. Both players at or near prime expected to be protagonists.

    That's fine

But you still attempted to get one over and be smart

Barcelona B is a ridiculous example
    That's my objection

Messi in Barca B with 17 years old scored 6 goals in 17 matches in the third division of Spanish Football(?). It is not much if you are look at the whole picture. How was his impact there?

Vinicius in the same third division looked like he really could score goals in some of those matches and was above all players there with only some months of difference and Castilla was likely just as bad. Of course just 5 matches.

You can make any kind of hypothesis you want

Romario would average 50 goals playing with a superteam today(leadleader)

Pele would average 40 league goals playing in 1960s Serie A (gregoriak)

I would score as many goals as Cristiano Ronaldo today(van basten)

I would win 3 ballon dors playing in this era(Rivaldo)

He had the some problem in La Liga.

    Predictions 19/20:
Martinelli for me was better than Rodrygo this season (he needs to improve technically) but still more impactful, elite pressure for a forwards. Too bad his injury.

But both of them better or more impactful than João Felix in his first season for Atlético imo. Rodrygo is playing out of his position, that is LW. On the right he is mediocre.

I wonder if we can look at leagues from Cyprus and make some of these projections about young players too.

This is what I'm talking about an unrecognizable Campeonato Paulista (even if compared to the period of 1995-2000 when the exodus was already large).

What Messi did a 17 at Barca B is pretty irrelevant. Unless the discussion is "who was better at 17".

Why is 'pretty irrelevant'? Because he was just a young boy getting experience and the impact on the team should not be required in this case?
