I think it is too early for him in a league like BL. Maybe Belgian league first. The FC Lilie deal sounds ok. imo

    He was injured.

He returned to training in late July, played for Cerezo Osaka against Urawa Reds in the league cup 10 days ago, and came in as a sub today to score his first ever professional goal.

Yup, he may be one of the top U-23 CBs in the J league currently imo. Surprisingly composed for his age, his passing range is pretty good for a CB as well.

Other relatively young good CBs in J league that I remember are Hayato Araki and Genta Miura.
Outside the J league, there is also Takumu Kenmotsu (Waseda University), Yota Sato (Meiji University), Maaya Sako (Tokyo Verdy Youth) and Kosei Suwama (Yokohama Marinos Youth).

Roma is reputed to be interested but Bologna is not inclined to sell, having placed a 25 million Euro price tag on Tomiyasu which is too low in their sporting director's estimation.

Other names I can think of that have some potential are Shinri Ono (Gamba U-23), Kaito Suzuki (Jubilo youth), Seiya Baba (Tokyo Verdy Youth), Haruya Fujii (Nagoya Grampus youth), Ryuya Nishio (Cerezo Youth) and Seiji Kimura (FC Tokyo youth)

Some of them may not be strictly CBs tho, some play full backs/DM time to time as well from what I have seen thus far.

OTOH, I secretly hope that maybe he can follow in Tomiyasu's footsteps and move to Belgium or other similar league e.g Switzerland soon instead of his teammate Nishikawa. He might have the potential to be another Tomiyasu in terms of success in European leagues. Quite like his ball distribution skills and calmness in shielding the ball from other team's forwards in the box even when he is being pressed.
Nishikawa can maybe wait for a season and move since he is younger.

yeah he definitely has a potential to be like tomiyasu. Another thing about tomiyasu, I think he need get more weight to play at CB

I'm sure Tomiyasu's frame can handle a bit more muscle if Bologna's staff feel it would be helpful. However I haven't seen him physically overwhelmed by any attackers, and keep in mind that Tulio and Nakazawa were mainly held back by their lack of pace and agility.

He weighs 84kg which is reasonable for a CB.

He plays as a full back for Bologna quie often. If he gets bigger, will be more difficult for him to play as a Fullback since it reuires more agility.
