A goal, an assist and a Penalty created. He needs to make this in the Liga MX, the CONCACRAP Champions League doesn't tell me anything.

That's the closest I've seen to a Marlo's siting in a while... hope it's the start of something.

    Hopefully.
Unfortunately Santos seems like a pretty deep team in attack. Preciado the Ecuadorean seems to have his position on lock down.

Marlos' only hope for more playing time is continuing to advance in the CONCACAF Champions League and maybe minutes as a super sub in the Mexican League.

Not so good tonight against a better team. Subbed at half time against NYRB

Various Mexican media outlets are reporting that Marlos may get his first start today for Santos in the Liga MX.

Let's see how he does against Necaxa.

Marlos and Jackson both started for Portimonense yesterday.

Really did not do much but it was nice to see them both get a chance.

Jackson and Marlos have been given another chance to start together, this time at home.

If anyone is interested it will be on GOLTV at the top of the hour.

Very sad to not live up to the hype. (Especially personal expectations.)

That said, he could still have a decent career if he works hard. There are players who bounce around and finally find themselves in a good environment, get playing time and work to get better.

Maybe he can be like Stiven Mendoza who went to Brasill then MLS then France and then it finally clicked for him,
but that is about his ceiling right now for me. I would be happy with that sort of bounce back quite frankly.

During that Libertadores run in 2016, when he was absolutely killing it, I made a few highlight vids of him. A quarter of the comments on some videos alluded to him being overrated. Specifically, I remember the name "humarlos humoreno" coming up a lot...

Never saw a promising kid have so much haters. But I think there were probably a lot of flaws we were all looking past.

And actually he saved us a match in la paz in the last minute.....i think that the hate came from other colombians teams fans.....not very rational.....

The true is that after his nt spell his performance wasnt good even in copa in last phases....

It's crazy he's still only 23, realistically he still should have a real good chance at getting back on track but he needs the right situation and he needs to really work hard. Seems like a lost cause, but I'd never right off a 23 year old.

Why not send him back to
Colombia for Junior or Nacional. That has to be a higher level than 2nd div belgium

Prolly because they won’t take him back.
Feel bad for the guy. Something must have really gone wrong that caused him to regress?

Hope he continues to play well consistently. Maybe he can go to K.R.C. Genk next season and play with all the other Colombians.

    haha FC Colombia soon :)

I like Marlos don’t know what happened to him but Duvan and Cordoba kind of sucked till they were 27.

I don’t see him ever being better than Diaz even if he had developed like the player he was under Rueda. Still a good option for the future. Just not one that I see wearing yellow any time soon
