Was just coming to post the same thing.... Bummer,

At least the stadium should be good to go on time, with an extra year, right?

Well boo. But I guess almost the entire sporting world has been bumped back a year, so it makes sense that all of the expansion efforts have been too...

I totally guessing here, but my guess is Charlotte can make the 2022 deadline and they can’t have 3 expansions in one year.

I know this is very unfortunate and frustrating but probably the best decision. Y’all will be glad that by then all this mess will be a distant memory, and y’all will be ready to go.

P.S. I still hope you are called the Archers.

That's such a long time--What a bummer. I'll have to support Minnesota United until then.

I would think that sponsorship money has kinda dried up for the minute. Austin, i think, had all (most?) of their sponsors lined up. Don't recall anything out of Charlotte or SAC regarding MLS sponsors.

That’s unfortunate. I was hoping both Charlotte Independence and Saint Louis FC would take the bump to League One and become the affiliate to their MLS Clubs.

The five clubs who gave up players to Charlotte last year are protected this year: Austin, ATL, DCU, LAFC. NYCFC.
