According to Croatian reports, Inbeom Hwang has been transferred by the Whitecaps to Dynamo Zagreb for €2m. Inbeom will be traveling there to finalize the deal in the next few days. #VWFC #WhitecapsFC #MLS— 𝕲𝖑𝖆𝖘𝖘𝕮𝖎𝖙𝖞 (@GlassCityFC) August 8, 2020 Zagreb’s manager Zoran Mamic has refuted the reports of Inbeom signing with Dinamo, he says they were outbid by Russian Premier club Rubin Kazan at the last minute. So one way or another it looks like Inbeom is leaving the Caps. [h/t @Takeuchee]#VWFChttps://t.co/vbeWFwz58s https://t.co/gJtyFyIHzG— 𝕲𝖑𝖆𝖘𝖘𝕮𝖎𝖙𝖞 (@GlassCityFC) August 8, 2020
He wasn't good enough at VWFC. Too weak on the ball and killed tempo of their attack. He wasn't worth the DP spot. Not too optimistic about him developing at Rubin [Twitter]1292488889249042432[/twitter]
Disagree with this assessment. Still think he's one of the sharpest, technically gifted, and most valuable midfielders we have at the moment.
In the CM position we don't have many talented players, I'm not surprised he's a starter. And now, we have another player aboard, in a decent team, not bad. I hope he'll be successful and will improve.
He looked terrible in Vancouver and was invisible against MLS opposition. He should come back to K-League and enjoy a successful domestic career.
