The wife actually said she'd be willing to go to games as long as people are wearing masks. *fingers crossed*
I have a feeling we won't. They have offered up a socially distanced small meeting at our church for some of our home groups, and we're not comfortable with that, at this time. Some of our friends are and some are not. Outside? I'd think about it. But we're talking under a 100. A game? We'll see. But I don't think I want to be the first to try it. Mrs KG and I will discuss it if and when it becomes real.
Two comments on this and Cybr's posts: 1. There's a great quote from "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and it's pretty accurate for almost all healthy marriages I've seen in my lifetime: 2. There's a reason women live longer than men. Next time you watch a clip from "America's Funniest Home Videos" or a FailArmy type clip on the social medias, take note of how many of them are men and how many are women. Being the astute audience that you are, you've probably guessed that the men are in the majority of hte clips.
I'm minded of a friend who went on his roof to clean off leaves--and fell off. The next year, did he hire someone? Nope. Went up again--and fell off--again. He was smart enough to not try it a third time. Also, of the dumbest things a guy can say is "Hey, watch this!"
Dumbest yet is when they record it and it ends up on YouTube. Though, I have to admit, I've misspent more than few hours watching various DIY-gone-bad videos. Guys who think they can cut down their own trees are particularly entertaining.
My father doesn't think that the public health officials will sign off on it, but I'm going to hold out hope until they say otherwise.
There's a guy on my alumni board who tells some entertaining stories about himself--one involved a boat, a trailer, a tree, and a lake. It did not end well.
Hold my beer. I'll attend if capacity is at 25%. There would be enough room for proper social distancing. I'd even take my nephews for HiR if I can get extra seats. Last year one of them was wearing blue and orange and he needs saving.
I'd love to attend if they let fans in, but since I'm not an STH, I'm likely out until 2021. If anyone attends and can get me a copy of the program if there is one, I'd appreciate it.
By my math, that's between 400-600 in the Nordecke. Section 139 is roughly between 450-500 and probably closer to 450. Before the stage was there, section 137 was (I believe) 485 seats. 137 and 139 were the same size and 139 got cut down to build the stage. I'd be half-tempted to go to see how they enforce people sticking in their seats in the Nordecke and not congregating in the first rows and at the rail up top. Then again, we know that singing/being loud and all spreads mouth germs farther. I still think it's a "disaster waiting to happen."
Eh, it's human nature to cluster. But at 25% capacity there is plenty of room to spread out. I'll certainly do that if by myself or if with the nephews, we'll cluster apart from others. The mask order is still in effect too.
I'll be with my family and close friends that I already interact with if I can get in. I'm hoping they offer general stadium access to Nordecke members so that we can find an area away from others.
