Looks impressive, although I’m sure there were other less impressive touches. Surprised to see him take on players from such a deep lying position, where has this guy played?
Charlie can you describe his game? I haven’t watched him (at all) but from that very short clip he looks really explosive and really offensive, like a offensive version of Tyler Adams. He looked to be more graceful and athletic than anyone on the field, like TA.
full game for those interested. will be up for a limited time. first game in almost half a year maybe, definitely some bad decision making but not to shabby overall. second link. he’s #20 https://we.tl/t-Hjwi5Qg1ka
definitely a workhorse and very dominant. one place i’d criticize him on his his decision making. sometimes drives the ball when he doesn’t need to or plays an extra pass when he can advance himself. things like that. definitely needs to work on the technical aspect of the game more but has all the right tools already to do so, so not really worried. if he becomes more lethal in the final third (long shots, getting in the box, and assists) he’ll resemble a lot of yaya toure. in the da he had a lot of hockey assists. unfortunately those aren’t recorded stats but everything seemed to flow through him. hopefully that translate with wolfsburg
Bryang Kayo with a goal in today's friendly against local rival Lupo Martini. https://www.vfl-wolfsburg.de/newsdetails/news-detail/detail/news/erfolgreicher-zweiter-test/
Off to an impressive start. Not just the goal but prior game film is quite impressive. Fast relative to comp, smooth AF, & had an idea of what he wanted to do. I know he just got there, but why not throw him in first team training & preseason. See what he shows. Can always send him back to u-23's if he's not up to snuff. Odd spot where he might be too good for the u-23's off the bat, but not good enough for the first team. He looked like a difference maker for Loudon, at as high of a level or higher, at 16. Didn't play him much out of lack of investment. KHF was similar & he's going to be a u-19. W/ both we could be talking rapid loan or opportunity w/ the big club if they've actually changed their stripes. A lot on the line here w/ the US sending so much talent there.
I recall that he impressed in the US men’s camp. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he made the jump up to the first team relatively quickly.
General director Schmadtke and sporting director Schafer were in the audience yesterday. After the game, the coach was asked to give a brief summary. He praised Kayo, the only player he called by name. I think that's a good sign. Quote from Henning Burger: 'It's our second game after a month-long break, but I would like to see a little more dominance. We didn't manage that in either game, especially in the first half. Kayo did very well, but there are also one or two others who stood out.' https://www.sportbuzzer.de/artikel/...-sieg-vfl-wolfsburg-ii-bezwingt-lupo-martini/
Needs to dribble less & hit the early pass more to fit in higher leagues now probably, but the raw tools are a lot to build on. Just needs proper development.
That agility+ acceleration + touch is hard to teach to kids with his size. He’s a natural on the ball and on the pass. There’s a lot to work with there. Competitive, smart...he’s quite advanced for his age. He’s clearly a cut above even his teammates...they give him the ball and watch sometimes.
Looks too good for u23. Umm and he looks to have immense potential.... Everything is there he has a great base to build off of. Fast, big and technical
He looks like a baller shot caller in that video. I didn’t know much about him before but will definitely be keeping an eye on him now. Lots of potential.
He’s passing earlier and dribbling less compared to the DA matches I watched 1294741009327443968 is not a valid tweet id
There were some very nice plays in there. He made one poor decision with the ballabout halfway thru where he should have gone out wide instead of turning it back in and got his pocket picked for it but he is VERY athletic.
Yeah it really seems like Kayo will be given a chance to break through at Wolfsburg this year. They seem to rate him highly, and I'm not shocked as to why b/c of these clips. He looks like a "man amongst boys" here, and with some improved decision making (looks a lot better already), I could see him making the leap up, potentially even before KHF. Also, I'm curious as to where else Kayo had interest from, b/c even as of last year, he looked like a potentially high ceilinged player.
