    This offense is absolutely shambolic.

It wasn't all just this team being great towards the end that made us win La Liga. We needed some lucky calls and Barca imploding towards the end to win the game in the penultimate match day.

That isn't convincing. I guarantee if we don't add anything in the summer (which Florentino said so), we're not gonna get this lucky next season.

That being said, I'll happily take a league win over a CL right now because that's what we craved the most.

I bet you ask anyone here if we'd take a La Liga win over a CL win this year, most would have said La Liga. Myself included.

After processing my anger, I'm just hoping that we get some help for Benzema upfront. We can't rely on Hazard. If he keeps being injured or out of shape, we're in deep trouble.

And players that score goals, we need goals, and that's not just about Odegaard or Fede, if it's not Jovic then someone else, and the fringe/young players have to step up and provide more, Marco/Isco (they've been around long enough now, no more excuses or beating around the bush with these guys, time for more tangible results and consistency) ,Vin/Rodrygo, young and have time but gotta show improvement from this season

    That i can agree.
Kroos and Modric are cm, while De Bruyne plays way higher on the pitch, comparing them based on chances created is not very smart thing to do. I can very well say lets compare pass accuracy(which is crucial for cm) throughout the season, and Toni would absolutely trash De Bruyne here. Kroos had very good season for us, he is easly top 5 mids in the world yet you are trying to make it sound like Kevin is levels about him, which is not true. Luka had a very good run of form after quarantine, sure he is not best in the world anymore, but, i would say, inform Modric is not far of from De Bruyne too. Yesterday De Bruyne was better, but you cant really judge players from one game only.
Btw we had more successful season atm, while City, despite all this De Bruyne hype can go trophyless.

I read we committed the least amount of fouls in a game in like 15 years.

I felt Casemiro had a poor game and Varane was just a disaster. I really think we need an alternative to Casemiro who could even play a double pivot if we want to change things up. Team looked bang up average, tired and uninspired.

When was the last time we signed a player that was a full success? You can count Courtois I guess but if people had their way he'd be gone by last summer. Besides that, I can't really remember anybody. Might be the reason why this starting lineup hasn't changed all that much.

To be fair our starting players were doing their job. There haven't been any real targets for the club to go after.

    We desperately need goals scorers.
When our second leading scorer is a center half, we're screwed.

We spent too much money on Odriozolas, Reiniers, Jovics, Rodrygos and the like. We need proven superstars in their prime, alongside those long term projects. And it seems we also need better scouting. If we are going to spend around 50-60 million on a player, then we need to make sure that what we are buying is a Mane or Salah, and not Jovic.

Mane and Salah were probably less (or at most the same level) of successes when Liverpool bough them than when we bought Jovic. It's what you do what those assets when you get them that matters.

Yea. And Salah was only half as prolific at Fiorentina and Roma. Liverpool have a forward who scores once in every three games and gets to start due to his link up play and setting up wing forwards.

Good call, but probably didn't play enough to be an instant success, but next year that could be the case, surely.

The biggest issue is that there are no real legit superstars in their prime on the market right now. Mbappe might become available at some point in the future, and he's the only player i consider a superstar not currently in a situation that has him locked up. If he renews his contract, he's off the table as well.

I think you could argue that Asensio has been a resounding success. Didn't we buy him for 3.5ME? Guy isn't superstar level but he's certainly contributed.

It's a fair point but I don't think we've really been active in the market (apart from last year) since we acquired James.
