Despite hearing a lot about Italia 90, I'd actually never heard of this song before. It's got everything! It's a musical whirlwind! (Sorry for old thread bump! Mods, feel free to move post if problem) 1. ♫ Intro: ♫ OMG - will it be a type of Enya thing? No, but it gets the attention of Enya's millions of fans, very shrewd! 2. Traditional tunes but on a rock guitar, two birds with one stone 3. Jack talks the verses, kind of like a rap thing for the Hip Hop heads (and maybe the only truly new content in the track!) 4. "Olé, olé" with one eye on the international pop charts 5. Borrowing from "Ally's Tartan Army" of Scotland 1978, the record label presumably incurred some massive royalty fees, but worth it as a reminder that FOOTBALL IS DISAPPOINTMENT 6. And uilleann pipes to bring it home, very nice. So, all in all, not the most original football song, but on a genre-based musicological level it might be the Greatest Track Of All Time
