The worst player to wear the number 7. And, yes I’m aware Mariano wore it.

Knew Marca, JLS, ABC, AS, Edu Pidal etc couldn't be lying at the same time about him still having pain in the ankle. He's used to getting kicked a lot while at Chelsea so one game vs Espanyol being rough wasn't gonna be why he barely featured in the remaining games in La Liga. Ankle issues haven't gone away completely. Hopefully his ankle will be fully healed before he starts playing for us again.

Dude is 29 and suppose to be at his dream club. Miss me with all that.

I don't care. BTW, you're sore all the time after playing a game. I used to have both shoulders wrapped, ankles, knees, etc.

Not an excuse. If he couldn't play why the hell did he hurt the team?

The answer is he could and anyone attempting to make this about his ankle probably defended him showing up fat.

The amount of times he feints a run only to turn back and pass it off or his trademark sideways dribble then sideways pass is frustrating asl.

I and others (you may have been one since I know your stance on hazard, good player but being lauded as something much more that he isn’t) have said this all season long but we’re shot down with being told it helps the team and opens up space. I’m just not seeing it with Hazard.

Edit - this also makes it worse on Vin. I really would preferred him out there, missed chances and all that Vin brings.

I understand Zidane's thinking. He is a 100 million player. It was important to get him back into shape, but it was not the right game to take that gamble and start him.

Thats what I was thinking as well. Like is Hazard lighting it up in practice sessions and just not taking chances in the game? If he looks this vanilla leading up to the match he shouldn’t be playing.

He was your boy so if you've lost hope, there is definitely no coming back for him.

I don't think training sessions are that intense, and i think Zidane knows what players are capable of.

All we need is for this guy to pick up playing Golf and he'll be Bale 2.0.

Looking like Bale on the field. Not interested in the game, not getting into positions, just passing the ball back.

Hazard-Benz-Rodyrgo is the most passive trio in any top league.

On one hand, I think he will do much better. He simply can't suck this bad for us

On the other, I agree with @4x4s that he was never that great of a fit to begin with. I would prefer to develop Vinicius instead of forcing the issue with Hazard

I have watched the player and liked him since he was at Lille. I thought he could develop his shooting and be a verision of Cristiano.

    I was wrong.

Even with that I still rated him as a top 5 player in the world.

Apparently I was wrong about that too.

What thing I never did was say this guy was near Neymar. If we had Neymatmr on that pitch yesterday we run through that City team and Neynar is our season leading scorer.

We’ve seen this speech from him before.

It’s the same guy who’s literally mentally sat a whole season out under Mourinho then years later came out saying he felt partially to blame for his sacking because he could have put more of a shift.

The moment he showed up 15lbs overweight for pre season it was an extremely worrying sign.

The most I can hope for is that he turns out into a solid player for us, not someone who will take the attack to a higher level which is what he was brought on for.

I think he'll look better when we sign a truly incredible player that takes all pressure off him. Then he can do his stat thing, and work on the ball a lot and turn and whatever. People expect him to be something he isn't, and i think it's crushing him.

Not gonna write off Hazard after just one season. Off the pitch he seems to have learned from his mistakes. Hope he can prove his doubters wrong on the pitch next season.

That interview did nothing for me

For one we needed a mindset of scoring three goals not two. Secondly, even with Varane's mistakes if Hazard was remotely as good as what some if ys expected him to be we could have still won 3-2 and been through.

I like Hazard can't wait to see him next year. People here exaggerate obviously because of his invisible performance yesterday (the whole team was a mess really) and the injuries that haunted him this year but I believe he is a player that can help our team. We know he is not Ronaldo or Messi (who is anyway?) but he is a top class player that can help our team going forward and has a lot of good years ahead of him.

You’d think that after Courtois people would stop these knee jerk reactions (I was one the guys who wrote off Courtois btw ) I’m with you though, hopefully he has a mostly injury free season next season and get back to his best level.

Courtois didn't show up out of shape and unmotivated.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he showed up like that again when preseason resumes.

That’s true, I’m talking about people completely writing him off as if there is no hope he could turn it around, he deserves the shit he’s getting this season but I’m not writing off fully yet. Now if he shows up overweight next season then he can ******** off back to Chelsea.

Dude is turning 30 in 5 months.

For me we blunder tremendously and I was one of the people who were over the moon getting him.
