On today's Arsecast I heard about the awful font they chose for our shirts. And now I see how truly awful they are. I think they labeled it "Comic Sans Gothic" If they're going to make this mistake, I hope they do it for just one game, and not the whole of next season. Assuming there is one.
You may be right. Especially the numbers. Didn’t Hitler and the Third Reich use a font akin to this? I didn’t make that connection until you pointed it out. Perhaps this “mistake” will be short lived on our boys shirts.
IDK about the font guys. It's an attempt to do something different. Maybe it didn't come off right, but it's not as if it's Real Madrid's use of comic sans.
IDK I think the point is to make it maximally legible. And also not to induce any negative connotations/associations that have been brought up here. This is closer to fail than success, based on those metrics.
Pretty good summary on F365 of the Prem home kits for 2020-2021. A few highlights. 1. Everton switched to Hummel(!). I'm still nostalgic for that brand ever since their Denmark kits in '92. Lovely gear. 2. Did not know Liverpool switched to Nike. 3. ManUre's kits are horrible. It's worth reading the article just for the assessment. Hilarious.
Got my new kit today. Like last season one better but this one is not that bad. This is a side by side comparison of last season to the latest kit.
Both look great, IMO, and part of me likes the darker red. At least stands out compared to all the other primary-colored jerseys out there.
Wow that’s really quite a color change. I hadn’t noticed that during the FACF. For me last year’s red was closer to what I consider our “ true color”.
The season just gone kit is nicer imo as the collar is shit on the new one, even though I like the pattern
