This wasn't some clash of tactics and Pep came out on top. Zidane mismanaged this entire game (and the first leg) all on his own and was properly undone by the performances of 3 players. If you're trying to push some great superiority of Pep or this City team then you can miss me with that.

Varane and Casemiro were absolutely embarrassing to watch. They were playing the worst I have seen them play in ages. This one is not only on them but Zidane, for keeping players like Hazard and Rodrygo on forever, who were barely helping Benzema after that first goal. This also highlights how important Ramos is for us. Ramos has been suspended for the final knockout game for how many seasons running? Two? The dude needs to get his act together. Our defense just got exposed. Without Ramos marshaling, they're a joke. I had changed my mind about Casemiro not being a good passer because of his recent performances, but he clearly has to get his head out of his ass and put more work in for passing in training. These were some of the worse turnovers I've ever seen from him in a game.
I was actually thoroughly unimpressed by that City team. The way Casemiro/Varane played and Zidane managed, that should have been a bloodbath.
For these games, you need 100% concentration and almost no errors. We made lots of errors. We didn't deserve to go through.
Many of us said before the match kicked off that we needed a 4 man midfield in order to contest this, it’s fine that Zidane initially got it wrong but why not change it at half time? Yes Varane sucked big time but I don’t think we score the goals needed even without his mistakes.

The problem is not enough attacking quality, the team is on a downward spiral for three years now despite this La Liga. This is our reality now, and it won't change without substantial investment. We also need to stop throwing money on million second-tier players.
